Another famous superstition is the music of this club had a pact with the devil, who help them to get the fame and the influence they had once on top. Musician Brian Jones was a founder member of the Rolling Stones and was thought to have come up with the name of the band.  It was said he could learn any instrument in less than thirty minutes.  Jones was discovered motionless at the bottom of his swimming pool on 3 July 1969.

One of the greatest ever rock guitarists, this American guitarist, music producer and singer songwriter provided the sound track to a generation. The circumstances of his death aged 27, on 18 September 1970 have never been fully explained.

The American singer-songwriter was described by Time Magazine as: "Probably the most powerful singer to emerge from the white rock movement in the sixties." She died of a drug overdose at the age of 27 on 4 October 1970.

“If its illegal to rock and roll, throw my ass in jail!”Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the American grunge band Nirvana, was found dead at his home located at 171 Lake Washington Boulevard in Seattle, Washington, United States on April 8, 1994, having died three days prior on April 5. The Seattle Police Department incident report states that Cobain was found with a shotgun across his body, had a visible head wound and there was a suicide note discovered nearby. The King County Medical Examiner noted that there were puncture wounds on the inside of both the right and left elbow. Prior to his death, Cobain had checked out of a drug rehabilitation facility and been reported suicidal by his wife Courtney Love.

According to legend Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain all had white lighters on them when they died. Many smokers will not use white bic lighters because they are perceived to be bad luck because of this.
