The compounds are listed in the order of increasing carbon content. Empirical formulas of ionic compounds are given in brackets; ions as well as components of solvates and adducts are separated by a dot. The empirical formulas are decoded by names or entries which differentiate the structures. Names, using predominantly but not rigorously the nomenclature of Chemical Abstracts and IUPAC, are given for cyclic molecular structures which cannot be expressed by a written formula as for linear molecular structures.
