SAFETY SUMMARY To ensure the safe and proper setup of the Formula TRE seating system, these instructions MUST be followed: WARNING DO NOT install this equipment without first reading and understanding this instruction sheet, the MK5™EX™and TT-EX™Electronics Service manual, part number 1114808 and the TDX™Owner’s Manual, part number 1114809. If you are unable to understand the warnings, cautions and instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel if applicable, before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur. INSTALLATION WARNING This adjustment MUST be performed by a qualified technician. These adjustment instructions DO NOT apply to Elevate Only systems. After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching hardware is tightened securely. Tool needed - 7/16 inch wrench NOTE: For seating system operating instructions, refer to the Owner’s Manual, part number 1114809. NOTE: For remote programmer operating instructions, refer to the Electronics Service Manual, part number 1114808. ADJUSTING THE DRIVE LOCKOUT LIMIT ANGLE WARNING NEVER operate the wheelchair while in any tilted/reclined/back angle posi- tion over 20° RELATIVE TO THE VERTICAL POSITION. Drive lockout MUST not be adjusted beyond 20°. NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1. 1. Tilt or recline the seating system to the desired drive lockout limit angle below 20° relative to the vertical position. 2. Plug the remote programmer into the controller. ADJUSTING THE DRIVE LOCKOUT LIMIT ANGLE

� WARNINGNEVER operate the wheelchair while in any tilted/reclined/back angle posi-tion over 20° RELATIVE TO THE VERTICAL POSITION. Drive lockout MUST not be adjusted beyond 20°.

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1.1. Tilt or recline the seating system to the desired drive lockout limit angle below

3. Select ADVANCED MENU.4. Select CURRENT STATUS MENU.5. Scroll down to DRIVE LOCKOUT.6. Loosen the locknut securing the drive lockout clamp to the controller bracket.7. Move the drive lockout clamp in the following manner until the programmer

changes from FALSE to TRUE:• Towards the front of the wheelchair - Decreases the drive lockout angle.• Towards the rear of the wheelchair - Increases the drive lockout angle.

8. Tighten the locknut to secure the drive lockout clamp in the desired position.

1. Tilt the seating system to the desired tilt limit angle.NOTE: This procedure is for adjusting the tilt down limit.2. Plug the remote programmer into the controller.3. Select ADVANCED MENU.4. Select CURRENT STATUS MENU.5. Scroll down to TILT DOWN LIMIT.6. Loosen the locknut securing the tilt limit switch clamp to the large limit switch

bracket.7. Move the tilt limit switch clamp in the following manner until the programmer

changes from FALSE to TRUE:• Towards the front of the wheelchair - Increases the tilt limit angle.• Towards the rear of the wheelchair - Decreases the tilt limit angle.

8. Tighten the locknut to secure the tilt limit switch clamp in the desired position.

ADJUSTING THE RECLINE LIMIT ANGLENOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 3.1. Recline the seating system to the desired recline limit angle.NOTE: This procedure is for adjusting the recline down limit.2. Plug the remote programmer into the controller.3. Select ADVANCED MENU.4. Select CURRENT STATUS MENU.5. Scroll down to RECLINE DOWN LIMIT.6. Loosen the locknut securing the recline limit switch clamp to the controller

bracket.7. Move the recline limit switch clamp in the following manner until the

programmer changes from FALSE to TRUE:• Towards the front of the wheelchair - Decreases the recline limit angle.• Towards the rear of the wheelchair - Increases the recline limit angle.

8. Tighten the locknut to secure the recline limit angle bracket in the desired position.
