What you need • Brown felt • Ribbon • Craft glue • Chinese sayings • Sweet treats

1. Trace a 10-cm-diameter

circle onto felt using a lead

pencil. Cut it out.

2. Attach a 20-cm piece of

ribbon across the centre of

the circle using craft glue.

Let this dry overnight.

3. Tie a bow using the

two ends of the ribbon, so

that the ribbon sits on the

outside of the felt.

5. Place a Chinese saying

inside the fortune cookie,

along with a sweet treat.

4. Gently push the sides

down over the ribbon to

form the fortune cookie.

Teachers:

Ribbon should be about

1cm in diameter to ensure the

fortune cookie ‘sits’ correctly.
