1. IT AIN’T OVER ‘TIL IT’S OVER

Project is finally placed with an awesome consultant who will kick butt for a client? Excellent! That’s just the BEGINNING. Next comes onboarding, Statements of Work, and tracking of the purchase order, payments, & deliverables—oh my!  

2. CONSULTANTS ARE LIKE SNOWFLAKES

No two are ALIKE. Although consultants may have similar backgrounds or expertise, each one has a unique personality & soft skills that make them so special. The challenge is to match their collection of qualities to the specific requirements of each project—and that’s where the fun begins.  

3. THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS “TOO MUCH CHOCOLATE”

I’ll never forget when I was sitting in Shandy’s office, chatting & eating 70% Belgian Cacao dark CHOCOLATE wedges. After the last piece magically disappeared, Shandy pulled out a luxurious bar of 72% cacao organic dark chocolate. We splurged on sugar & laughed as we wiped the chocolate off our lips.

 

For my FIRST JOB, I never expected I would get the opportunity to talk with such influential clients and impressive consultants or navigate the numerous aspects of projects. But with all the lessons, experience, and friendships along the journey, I wouldn't have it any other way.
