notebook.• Vocabulary will be kept in notebook.• Any science homework will be
written in your child’s planner.• A study guide will be provided for
each test. • The scientist notebook will be a
great resource to study for tests.
Homework• Work not completed in class will
become homework. • Additional homework assignments• Review sheets from previous lessons
will be sent home to reinforce important skills.
• Homework is due the following class meeting (unless noted by teacher).
• Parents, please go over Tuesday folder work with your child to reinforce skills.
Daily Planners• Daily Planners will be filled out each
day.• Each child is responsible for filling out
the planner correctly.• Parents, please check and sign
planners each evening.• 2 consecutive days unsigned or not
completed = 1 offense
Tuesday Folders• Sent home most Tuesdays• Includes work from all subject
areas from the previous week.• Look over the papers together for
a good review. Keep the papers at home.
• Please sign and date and return.
Grading• A: 93-100• B: 85-92• C: 75-84• D: 65-74• F: 64 and below
•9 weeks grades reflect daily work, graded practice, tests and participation.

Consequences• 1 offense – 5 minutes off recess• 2 offenses – ½ off recess• 3 offenses – demerit
and isolated lunch• 4 offenses – demerit
and 2 days isolated lunch• 5 offenses – detention• Students may be assigned recess detention
or afterschool detention for deficiency • (missing 3 or more assignments).

Incentive Program• Good behavior and work habits
will be rewarded. • An Incentive/Reward activity will
be earned by meeting each grade levels requirements.

Attendance• Notes need to be given to child’s
teacher for an excused absence.• Notes MUST be turned in within 3
school days.• After 6 absences, a doctor’s note
is required. • Students will be counted tardy
after the pledge.
