A special collection for the Church in Latin America will be collected on this weekend,

January 27-28, 2018. Thanks for your generosity.

Next week, we will take up the Collection for the

Church in Latin America. For many in Latin America and Caribbean, rural terrain and a lack of ministers are obstacles to practicing their faith. Your support to the collection provides lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious formation, as well as other pro-grams to help share our faith with those who long to hear the Good News of Christ. ‘SOUPER BOWL’ OF CARING

St. Vincent de Paul Has a mission to fight hunger and help the underprivileged—and you can help.

Over 20 years ago on a Super Bowl Sunday, a single youth group was inspired to begin a movement to help the hungry and those in need. They started the ‘SOUPER BOWL OF CARING’, which is an international

movement that has raised millions for charities across America.

You can help the St. Jude SVDP and be a part of making a difference in the lives of others.

An estimated 150 million people around the world will tune in to the Super Bowl football game. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fellowship.

During the same time, there will also be those worrying about staying warm,

finding shelter and not knowing where their next meal will come from, right here in our church parish area.

The St. Jude parish St. Vincent de Paul Society will be sponsoring our own “SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY” on Super Bowl weekend, February 3rd & 4th. Please show your support of our efforts to feed and help the

poor by dropping a donation in our ‘soup cans’ after mass. For your convenience, your fellow parishioners will be outside all doors of the church.

All proceeds benefit the st. jude svdp society and ***remain in our parish***

Culture of Life Reflections

“To the extent that people with disabilities are welcomed, loved, included in the community and accompanied to look to the future with confidence, a true path of life develops and

lasting happiness is experienced. This goes for everyone, but even more so

the most fragile.”

-Pope Francis, October 2017

Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Celebration

25th, 50th & 65 or longer February 25th 2:00 PM St. Aloysius Church

Bishop Robert Muench will celebrate a sacrament of marriage liturgy at St. Aloysius church honoring couples that are celebrating their 25th, 50th, 65th (or longer) wedding anniversaries

during 2018. The families of the honored couples are also invited to attend the liturgy and reception to be held afterward in the St. Aloysius activity center.

Couples interested in participating should contact Charmaine Biossat at 766-2431, or

[email protected], no later than Feb. 2nd.

All couples married more than 65 years are invited. The longest married couple in our diocese that is present at the liturgy will be recognized and honored.

Memorial for the Unborn

As in previous years the

KCs and Respect Life ministry will place white crosses underneath the oak tree

located between the Church and parish hall. The crosses memorialize the unborn children lost to abortion since 1973. Each

of the 58 crosses represents one million lives lost. This memorial aims to bring

awareness to this tragedy.

Treat yourself and your family to a great BBQ chicken dinner without sweating over a hot pit.

Our Knights of Columbus will be selling their delicious chicken dinners on

Sunday, February 4th after all Masses.

Complete your meal with some of the delicious desserts that our KC Auxiliary will have for sale.

The KC’s sincerely appreciate your support and continued patronage.
