Approve the agreement with AdvanEdge Solutions, Inc. for E-Rate consulting services for funding year 2019-2020 for Kerr Elementary School at a cost of $4,996.00.

Candidates for employment under this section are approved subject to verification of the results of physical and drug screening examinations, required clearances, and all other essential employment requirements under Policy and Administrative Regulations 304-AR and 304-AR-4.
1. Resignations
a. Educational Support
(1) The resignation of Robin A McAnulty, library clerk at Fairview Elementary School, due to personal reasons, is accepted effective November 7, 2018.
b. Custodial/Maintenance
(1) The resignation of John M. Dean II, 10-month custodian at Dorseyville Middle School, due to retirement, is accepted effective January 3, 2019.
c. Nutrition Center
(1) The resignation of Jennifer A Detwiler, nutrition center employee at Fox Chapel Area High School, due to personal reasons, is accepted effective November 1, 2018.
d. Supplemental Contracts -Athletic
(1) The resignation of John T. Alerich, wrestling coach at Dorseyville Middle School, due to personal reasons, is accepted effective October 23, 2018.
(2) The resignation of Shane P. Billings, freshman football head coach at Fox Chapel Area High School, due to personal reasons, is accepted effective October 28, 2018.
2. Leaves

(1) Jennifer A. Armenis, art teacher at O'Hara Elementary School, is approved for a one-year unpaid leave for international study, effective the first day of the 2019-2020 school term, with return scheduled for the first day of the 2020-2021 school term.

(2) Kara K. Cornett, kindergarten teacher at O'Hara Elementary School, is approved for a second-semester medical sabbatical, effective January 21, 2019, with return scheduled for the first day of the 2019-2020 school term.
3. Appointments
a. Professional
(1) Stephanie S. Reilly is approved as a business education/mathematics teacher at Fox Chapel Area High School. This position is available due to the retirement of Randi Leonard .
Certification: Instructional II Education: M.S.M .E., West Virginia University, 1998
Experience: Teaching Certificate, University of Pennsylvania, 2008 5 Years, Plum Borough School District 2 Years, Norwin School District
Effective: To Be Determined Salary: $61,752 based on Step 8, M+0 Fringe Benefits: As Per Collective Bargaining Agreement
b. Nutrition Center
(1) Sandra M. Nowak is ratified as a permanent, part-time (5.5 hours per day) nutrition center employee in the O'Hara Elementary School cafeteria . Hourly salary is set at $10.00 per hour with no fringe benefits, effective November 2, 2018. This position is available due to the resignation of Rebecca Enciso .
c. Supplemental Contracts -Athletic
(1) The following athletic supplemental contracts are approved for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school term:

(1) David C. Twidwell is approved as the facilities shift supervisor for the Fox Chapel Area School District, effective November 13, 2018, per the employment agreement.
4. Change of Status
a. Leave Replacement
(1) Kelsey L. Phillips, first-semester leave replacement elementary teacher at O'Hara Elementary School, is approved for an extension of the leave replacement position through the day after the last day of school for students for the 2018-2019 school term. This position is available due to the medical sabbatical of Kara Cornett.

5. Western PA Leaming Academy Specialty Workshop
a. The employees listed below are approved as Western PA Learning Academy specialty workshop facilitators (design and host). All workshop facilitators will receive 35% of the registration fees (minimum enrollment required).

1. AIA Documents B102-2007 and B201-2007-Thomas & Williamson, LLC Fairview Elementary School Exterior Doors Replacement Project
Approve the agreement between the Fox Chapel Area School District and Thomas & Williamson, LLC for engineering and construction management services related to the Fairview Elementary School exterior doors replacement project.
2. Change Order - Dorseyville Middle School Alterations Project
Approve change order GC-011 at a cost of ($500.00) for the Dorseyville Middle School alterations project pending PDE approval of Plancon Part I. This change order was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Fox Chapel Area School Authority Board.
3. Change Orders - O'Hara Elementary School Alterations Project
Approve change orders GC-024, GC-025, GC-026, and HC-006 at a total cost of $31,769.30 for the O'Hara Elementary School alterations project pending PDE approval of Plancon Part I. These change orders were reviewed and recommended for approval by the Fox Chapel Area School Authority Board.
4. Change Orders-Kerr Elementary School Project
Approve change orders GC-003 and GC-004 at a total cost of $40,201.22 for the Kerr Elementary School project pending PDE approval of Plancon Part I. These change orders were reviewed and recommended for approval by the Fox Chapel Area School Authority Board.
5. Donation- Kerr Elementary School Nurse's Office
Accept the donation of $500.00 to the nurse's office at Kerr Elementary School from the Pittsburgh North Optimist Club for the purchase of clothing for students in need.
6. Donation - Black Student Union
Accept the donation of $700.00 to the Black Student Union at Fox Chapel Area High School from Gretchen and William Generett Jr. to be used for a field trip and future events.

7. Development Agreement - Township of O'Hara Kerr Elementary School Project
Approve the development agreement between the Fox Chapel Area School District and the Township of O'Hara for the Kerr Elementary School final land development plan.

B. Information
• School District ALICE Certified
The Fox Chapel Area School District has been named an "ALICE Certified Organization" and is now one of less than 50 in the nation. The certification means that the district "has successfully met the requirements of the ALICE Training Institute' s Certified Organization program, in active shooter response preparedness ... " The district has trained ALICE Certified Employees, participated in an Active Shooter Proactive Response Drill, and has a Proactive Response Outline in EOPs (Emergency Operations Plans). The certification is good for the 2018-2019 school year.
ALICE, an active shooter response program, stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate and the ALICE Training Institute is located in Medina, Ohio. Over the past few years, the district has participated in active shooter response drills and other safety instruction related to the ALICE Training Institute .
• Students Place at Upper Sl Clair Novice Forensic Tournament
Six Fox Chapel Area High School students recently placed at the annual Upper St. Clair Novice Forensic Tournament. The Policy Debate team of sophomore Mark Puthenpurayil and freshman Nathaniel Mueller won second place. Sixth-place awards went to the team of senior Jonah Green and junior Jonathan Rodrigues in Public Forum Debate, and sophomore Supama Agrawal in Extemporaneous Speaking. Seventh place was awarded to freshman Siddharth Yende in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
The Upper St. Clair Novice Forensic Tournament was held October 27, 2018, at Fort Couch Middle School. More than 240 students from 23 schools from Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio competed at the tournament.
