Foxtrot Formula Guide Begin by selecting the Formula action from the Data section of the Action list. This will display the Formula Builder within a project. The Functions list will display all available formulas for you to pick from. Once you select the Formula you want to create, it will appear in the workspace to the right of the List. Foxtrot Formula Guide

Begin by selecting the Formula action from the Data section of the Action list.This will display the Formula Builder

within a project.

The Functions list will display all available formulas for you to pick from. Once you select the Formula you want to create, it will appear in the workspace to the right of the List. Formulas are broken into 6 Function categories:

Build Your Formula

Begin by selecting a Formula from the list (step 1 above).

Formula Example: For example. two fields-First Name and Last Name-are to be combined to result in a single field - Full Name. We will use the Join Formula, located under the Text Function menu.

1. Select the Join formula from the list of Text Functions on the left.2. The green area on the right of the Formula window provides an example of what goes in each

field.3. Click the Expression Builder icon at the end of the first parameter, String 1, and select the First

Name Token. Use a space at the end of First Name and click OK on the Expression Builder. Repeat for String 2, choosing the Last Name Token instead.

4. Verify the Formula has evaluated correctly via the preview at the bottom of the Formula Builder.

5. Select which Variable or Data Field you want to save the results to.
