World Meeting of Families

Pope Francis has

confirmed that he will be travelling to Ireland to take

part in World Meeting of Families 2018,

which is taking place in Dublin from 21 -26 August 2018.

Pope Francis will attend the Festival of Families in Croke Park on Saturday 25th August and celebrate an open-air Mass in

the Phoenix Park on Sunday 26th August. Please use the following link for

Cardiac arrest is one of the UK’s biggest killers, and yet statistics have shown that the many of us are unaware of the life-saving difference we can

make by performing CPR and defibrillation. This short awareness course covers basic life

support and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator. It will give you the skills needed to

administer safe and effective basic life support and an awareness of the use of defibrillator (AED)

equipment in an emergency situation. This is a free one - day course which will appeal to any adult who wants to be prepared. Whether you are employed or applying for work; retired or

volunteering; looking after children or family members – this course could prove to be a real life

saver! Topics covered on the course: Assessing an incident and a casualty

How to deal with an unresponsive casualty, Recovery Position, CPR , AED safety

considerations, When to use an AED, Calling Emergency Services

During this FREE course, participants will practice using a training defibrillator to improve their confidence and understanding of this life

Who were married at St. Aloysius Church on Monday 28th May 2018

during a Nuptial Mass at 2 pm, which was conducted by Fr. J. J. Ealey.

Tuesday 5th June 2018 Memorial of

St. Boniface, Bishop and Martyr Born as Winfrith possibly at Crediton

(Devon), about 675, Boniface was killed in the Netherlands on this day in 754. After

several years as monk and teacher at Nursling (Hampshire), he went to

evangelise the Germanic peoples. Ordained bishop, he was given wide-ranging papal commissions throughout Germany and

Gaul. With much support from England in materials and personnel, he founded

monasteries and established dioceses, presided at synods, and liaised with kings.

He is remembered as a determined missionary, and as a church organiser and reformer, whose work shaped the future of Europe. He is buried in his abbey of Fulda,

and is honoured as apostle of Germany.

St Norbert, Bishop Saint Norbert was born in Xanten, in what is

now Germany, he turned from a worldly life, became a monk and an itinerant

preacher, and later founded the Premonstratensians. Through his example

and preaching, he worked very hard to implant the religious and moral reforms of

Pope Gregory VII. He later became Archbishop of Magdeburg and died in 1134.

DIVINE MERCY Taken from Saint Faustina’s Diary

Jesus. - From all My wounds, like from streams, mercy flows for souls, but the wound in My

Heart is the fountain of unfathomable mercy. From this

fountain spring all graces for souls. The flames of compassion

burn me. I desire greatly to pour them out upon souls. Speak to the whole world

we will receive the tax already paid on this amount in due course.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit YOU who makes me see everything and

shows me the way to my ideals. You who give me the divine gift to

forgive and forget all that is done to me. I, in this short dialogue, want to thank

you for everything and affirm once more that

I never want to be separated from you, no matter how great the material desires

may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones

in the perpetual glory to the end and submitting to God's Holy Will,

I ask you. (mention request). Amen.

SOLEMN ANNUAL EXPOSITION OF THE

BLESSED SACRAMENT Will take place here at

St. Aloysius on Wednesday 20th June 2018

from after the 9:15 am mass until close at 7:00 pm

and on the Thursday 21st June 2018

from after the 9:15 am Mass until 6:00pm, when there will be a

Holy Hour to close our Solemn Annual Exposition of the

Blessed Sacrament. It has been suggested that we do not need to

buy candles this year as the candles from last year will be okay, this will save on the cost. Donations for flowers will be greatly
