Fractions - Collecting HalvesThis week we have been learning about ½ s. We know that ½ is one of 2 same size pieces and that 2/2s make 1 whole.

Here is a choice of 2 activities to do at home. Please choose 1 activity.

Find as many halves as you can and make a list or take photos. ½ way to school, ½ way across the room. ½ a box of eggs, ½ an hour, ½ the wheels on a car, ½ a kilo of sugar, something that is ½ full. How many halves can you find?

1. We are collecting halves for the classroom.

2. Decorate some biscuits, or a pizza. Put ½ the toppings on each side. Take a photo!
