Youth Leadership and Precollege Advising Program (founder) 1993-2002
Created process for youth leadership training for
16-24 year olds; placed 52 Edcouch-Elsa High School
students in Ivy League universities between 1993-2002
and developed support system for their retention and success;
program has since been used as model nationally.
Twenty-four youths have graduated during past four years
from Ivy League schools, and twelve have returned to
community to participate in youth and community
development work.
