Café Creations is a FREE 10-week program, running on Mondays and Tuesdays from Frankie’s Café, at the Frankston South Community and Recreation Centre, commencing the start of each school term.

This innovative and practical youth engagement program assists young people to:

Develop their self-esteem

Gain accredited training qualifications in hospitality

Obtain work experience

Be prepared for employment and further training

The program takes vocational learning out into the local community and industry through partnerships with local businesses, education and training organisations and youth services.

The curriculum is flexible and creative, with hands-on training the focus. Café Creations students work in environments that simulate cafés, bars and restaurants, all within the safety of the Frankston South Community and Recreation Centre.

The Target Group

The program aims to assist young people aged between 15–24, who are not employed or engaged, in education or training.

Participants will gain:

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate

Food Handlers Certificate

Work experience in a café environment

Support in finding future employment, and maintaining employment

Preparation for interviews

Resume and cover letter writing

Events including Graduation, Cafes, Council events

Liaising with potential employers
