The big news that the entire school is talking about this week is our whole school performance called Frank & Lin At the Movieswhich is on next week at the Montreal Theatre in Tumut. All classes are participating in this stage event and tickets are currently on sale in the office. They are selling fast so for all parents and grandparents who want to attend you should get into the office and get your tickets fast. There will be NO TICKET SALES AT THE DOOR, so get your tickets by Monday next week. Parents are invited to the evening performances on Tuesday 24th and Thursday 26th from 7pm. Franklin School is a PBL school, which stands for Positive Behaviour for Learning. This means that all our students are expected to consistently show our Franklin School Values of: respect, achievement and safety. As a majority of our students have shown these values this term Franklin students are having a PBL reward day on Tuesday (tomorrow) this week where we get to wear our pyjamas to school for the day. Well done Franklin students! Our Kindergarten Orientation starts early next term and we have already had some new enrolments for next year. If you have a child starting Kindergarten next year please call into our office and pick up an enrolment pack as soon as possible. Hi, my name is Riley and I am also in Macarthur like Cody. I am excited to be part of Student Voice this week. School band is a huge responsibility at Franklin. You have to look after your instrument, bag and music. Lucky we have great teachers like Mrs Crain. Being a band member also has the added responsibility of representing our school off school grounds and out in the community. Next term we are having the Big Band Bash and we will be inviting parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles to come along and listen to our band. The best thing about having family come and watch us is that we ALWAYS sound good when our family is listening. Practice is really important for all band members. The more you practise the better player you become. Other band dates to remember are 15th November when we are attending the Combined Band Day at the Wagga Conservatorium. After that we are attending the Tumut Town Bands Annual Concert on the 1st December. On behalf of the school and the band members we would like to say thank you to the Snowy Valleys Council for the grant they provided for musical events.
