    Our t r ip through Europe andAfrica was most enjoyable and en.-lightening in that we can appreciatebet te r t he adv an ta ge s the USA hasfo r i t s c i t i z e n s , Sw i t z e r l a n d a n d th eAlps were magnificent. The springwith i ts green-was cont ras ted beaut ifully with the snow tha t s t i l l remainecin abundance. The p eo ple were morethan friendly to us in our stumblingwith the various l anguages in helpingus to secure food and lodging.

    Through Italy we visited Romeand t hen wen t to Bar i where we stayeda couple of days with the MalcomCoffey family who a re miss ionar iesin I ta ly and old f r iends of Dr, J im ,The t r a i n r id e f r o m B a r i to Rom e(no plane connected be tween them)w a s u n bi i e va b le . There were numerous s tops and we jo l ted and clankeca ll the w ay. The cars were not cleanei ther . We must h av e b een spoiledby the smooth ride in the planes.
