Family Resource Centre UK is a respected and trusted charity that has
been working with local authorities in the provision of outsourced
services for over twenty years. We are leaders in the delivery of the Family
Information Service. This prospectus showcases the quality and value for
money services that we can provide for you.
Since 1990, we have worked with Local Authorities, businesses and other
voluntary sector organisations to provide a variety of services. We have
developed a very strong skill set and have proved ourselves to be both
efficient and flexible. We are “user led” and as such we develop services to
meet the needs of our clients and the children, young people and families
they serve.
Using case studies, direct feedback, monthly reviews and detailed
data amongst other tools, we have developed strong monitoring and
evaluation processes to ensure our service provision is outcomes focused,
impact driven and well evidenced.
We have not included a price list as we are committed to providing value
for money and tailoring our services to suit our clients budgets and needs.

Are you considering streamlining or amalgamating your services? Do you
want to find more effective ways to get your message across?
A great way to let families know what services are available to them
through your school and cluster area is through a dedicated information
website, supported by a printed directory. We provided Reading Borough
Council with a website to do this for their Extended Services in 2009. This
website provides information on what is available through the schools
and also the wider community. It was built using a customer friendly
Content Management System, which enables the client to update the
website themselves, giving them control over how and when this is done.
Websites like this one are an economical way to provide accessible
information for pupils and parents. They can be supplied for individual
schools or to a group of schools working together and sharing the costs.

School of HOOPS is a global grassroots basketball coaching and
mentoring initiative based on a unique system of coaching in grids. The
School of HOOPS programme adopts a purist approach, a foundational
and academic base from which players become a graduate of the system.
The programme enables coaches of any level to break down complex skills
into manageable layers, taking individuals that have never played before
and filtering them towards team play in performance basketball.
School of HOOPS boasts more than 16 years of community coaching
experience that spans more than 40 schools as well as working alongside
young people with learning and behavioural difficulties and physical
disabilities. We have found that by instilling a focus from an early
age, ensuring players enjoy their first basketball experience in a safe
environment that is structured and with appropriate boundaries, we are
able to curb many of the issues relating to young people today.
School coaching ranges from: • Early morning sessions
• PPA time (Planning, Preparation and Assessment)
• Lunch-time clubs
• After school (extra-curricular) sessions.
We also coach within the National Curriculum, meaning we coach not
only those who show a committed interest in basketball, but also those
developing a diverse love for sport. We even teach teachers! After seeing
their student’s progress, many teachers sign up with us to be taught
a Foundation Skills Coaching award to receive a basic grounding in
basketball coaching.
Carefully selected School of HOOPS Ambassadors also help to advise us on
best practice and offer workshops, camps and seminars. Each Ambassador
is an expert in their respective specialism, recognised around the world for
their abilities.
