LEVITT ON THE LAWN P R E S E N T S There will be food trucks to purchase food starting at 5:30 p.m. Picnic dinners are also welcome. Directed and founded in 1999 by trumpet player Cindy Shea, the Mariachi Divas continue to lead the way in the mariachi genre. A two-time GRAMMY Award-winner, with a total of six GRAMMY nominations and two Latin GRAMMY nominations, the Mariachi Divas are a multicultural, all-female ensemble, imbued with the true flavor of Los Angeles. The Mariachi Divas have been represented by women of Mexican, Cuban, Samoan, Argentinean, Colombian, Panamanian, Puerto Rican, Swiss, Japanese, Honduran, Peruvian, Tongan and Anglo descents. "Music is a way of uniting our cultural backgrounds”. Concert sponsored by the Levitt Pavilions and Elizabeth Levitt Hirsch '74.
