FNB would like to reward our customers with free Connect data, voice minutes and SMS allocations based on their bank account type (Easy, Gold, Premier, Private Clients, Private Wealth and RMB).
The reward will be available to all new and existing FNB Connect customers.
If you have an active FNB account, an FNB Connect network active SIM card and you meet the minimum FREE Connect monthly criteria, you can expect to receive the following free monthly allocations:

New to FNB Connect customers Existing to FNB Connect Customers
A new to FNB Connect customer is someone who purchased an FNB Connect SIM on or after 1 July 2019, who doesn't already have an existing FNB Connect SIM.
If you are a new to FNB Connect customer and you meet the Free Connect minimum FREE Connect monthly criteria, you are eligible for a once-off data, voice minutes and SMS activation allocation. You are also eligible for a monthly data, voice minutes and SMS allocation provided you meet the criteria.
The activation allocation is the first reward you receive. You will receive this within 5 working days of activating your FNB Connect SIM card provided you meet the criteria below::
1. Have a qualifying FNB or RMB Private Bank transactional account that is active and in good standing at the end of the calendar month.
2. Have an FNB Connect SIM card that is active and capable of making and receiving calls
3. Your FNB Connect accounts must be paid-up and in good standing.
An existing to FNB Connect customer is someone who had an active FNB Connect SIM on or prior to 30 June 2019.
If you are an existing FNB Connect customer and you meet the minimum Freee Connect monthly criteria, you are eligible for a once-off data, voice minutes and SMS initial allocation. You are also eligible for a monthly data, voice minutes and SMS allocation.
The initial allocation is the first reward you receive, which will be allocated on 16 July 2019 provided you meet the criteria below:
1. Have a qualifying FNB or RMB Private Bank transactional account that is active and in good standing at the end of the calendar month.
2. Have an FNB Connect SIM card that is active & capable of making and receiving calls.
3. Your FNB Connect accounts must be paid-up and in good standing.

Monthly allocation 1 onwards
How long is my monthly allocation valid for? Your monthly allocation is valid for 30 days.
How/where do I get a FNB Connect SIM card? Visit your nearest branch, alternatively, order your FNB Connect SIM
card at fnb.co.za OR simply call our call centre on 087 575 0147.
I have activated my FNB Connect SIM card but have not received my allocation?The initial allocation is equivalent to monthly allocation and will be
allocated within 5 (five) working days of SIM activation. All qualifying
customers who sign up between 1 – 13 July 2019 will receive their
initial allocation by 22 July 2019.
All existing FNB Connect customers will receive their initial allocation
by 22 July 2019. Thereafter, all monthly allocations will be allocated by
the 15th of each month provided the minimum qualifying criteria are
met.
Will I be able to rollover or transfer my free allocations? No, this is reward/promotional bundle, and in terms of regulation, it may
not be transferred or rolled over and is valid for 30 (thirty) days from
date of allocation.
How long will it take to get delivery of my FNB Connect SIM card? Once your order has been placed, the delivery will typically take
between 3 (three) to 5 (five) working days. We will deliver the FNB
Connect SIM to the address you have selected when you placed your
order.
How many FNB Connect SIM cards can you have? Qualifying customers can have up to 20 (twenty) FNB Connect SIM
cards but only 1 (one) Free Connect benefit is allowed per customer.
If I open multiple bank accounts am I eligible for more Free Connect allocations? Opening and activating multiple FNB Connect SIM card accounts or
multiple bank accounts will not make you eligible for more of these
allocations.
You cannot receive an initial allocation and an activation allocation, if
you qualify, you will receive only one of the two.
Can I use my reward allocation for international roaming or international calls? Reward allocations cannot be used for international roaming, premium
rated services or international calls.
How will I know if I have received my Free Connect allocation? You will receive an SMS notifying you that you have been awarded your
allocation.
How long will this FREE Connect be available to customers? Free Connect will be available from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
Can I get the allocation if I am NOT with FNB Connect? No, to qualify for the monthly allocation, you will need to have an active
FNB or RMB transactional bank account with an active FNB Connect
SIM card and you need to meet all qualifying criteria as stated in our
Terms and Conditions.
When will I receive my monthly allocation? If you qualify, you will receive your monthly allocation no later than the
15th of the month following the month you have earned the allocation
for.
Note: this allocation will be given retrospectively. For example, if you
qualify for it in September 2019, you will receive your allocation within
the first 15 (fifteen) days of October 2019.
Is the Free Connect allocation over and above the subscription allocation that I would receive when I have a Top Up Lifestyle package? Yes, that is correct. Your Free Connect allocation will be over and above
your normal monthly allocation.
Which type of FNB Connect SIM package do I need to have to qualify for Free Connect? Great news! All FNB Connect SIM packages are eligible for Free
Connect, including: Prepaid, Top Up and PostPaid packages.
What does “in good standing” mean? “In good standing” means that none of your FirstRand Bank Limited
accounts and credit agreements are overdrawn, or in arrears, or in
default, or subject to any legal process with FirstRand Bank Limited.
Legal process means any legal proceedings in any court of law
involving you and FirstRand Bank Limited, including but not limited to:
business rescue, collections, liquidation, administration and
sequestration proceedings. Legal process however excludes debt
review as envisaged in S86 of the National Credit Act 2005.
If I have an overdraft does that mean my account is not in good standing? No, if you have a well-maintained overdraft your account is in good
standing.
If I have multiple transactional bank accounts that qualify which account will receive the allocation? If you have multiple qualifying FNB or RMB transactional bank accounts
(for example qualified on both FNB Gold and FNB Premier) the SIM will
receive the Free Connect allocation of the highest qualifying account.
How many allocations could I receive, if I meet the qualifying criteria each month? Counting your initial or activation allocation and your monthly
allocations, in total, you can only receive a maximum of 12 (twelve)
allocations during the promotional period. If you become eligible later
than the first month of the promotion, you will receive less than 12
(twelve) allocations. If you are not eligible in a month, you can become
eligible again in the next month, but you will not retrospectively receive
your allocation for the months you weren’t eligible.
No allocations will be awarded under this promotion for the last month
of the promotion period and therefore no allocations will be made in the
month following the promotion period.
What happens if I have more than 1 (one) FNB Connect SIM card, which number will receive the allocation? If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards, the following priority will
be applied:
• Priority 1 – A FNB Connect SIM card that is registered for inContact.
• Priority 2 – A FNB Connect SIM card that is registered for Cellphone
Banking.
• Priority 3 – A FNB Connect SIM card that has the highest spend*
during that month.
• Priority 4 – A FNB Connect SIM card that was activated first in terms
of date (the day the sim card was activated).
• Priority 5 – A FNB Connect SIM card that was activated first in terms
of time (the time the day the sim card was activated).
If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards linked to your FNB or RMB
banking profile, the FNB Connect SIM card that is registered for
inContact will receive the Free Connect Allocation.
If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards registered for inContact, on
your primary FNB or RMB banking profile, then the FNB Connect SIM
card that is registered for Cell Phone Banking will receive the Free
Connect allocation.
If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards registered for Cellphone
banking, on your primary FNB or RMB Banking profile, then the SIM card
that has the highest spend* during that month will receive the Free
Connect Allocation.
If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards with the exact same
highest spend during that month or multiple FNB Connect SIM card
with no spend during that month, on your primary FNB or RMB banking
profile, then the SIM card that was activated first in terms of date (the
day the SIM card was activated) will receive the Free Connect
Allocation.
If you have multiple FNB Connect SIM cards that were activated on the
same day, on your primary FNB or RMB banking profile, then the SIM
card that was activated first in terms of time on that day will receive the
Free Connect Allocation.
*spend is defined as all purchases and/or fees charged to the
customers FNB Connect SIM card account, namely, SIM card
subscription fees, and where applicable, all device bundle and deal fees,
recharge fees and purchases, SIM and Connection fees, Call Line
Identify (CLI) fees and itemised billing fees. All Top Up Go promo SIM
cards that are in use and that were sold with a smart phone will be
included in the spend calculation. All device only purchases, and all
penalty fees are excluded from this spend calculation.
If my Connect account balance/s is in arrears with an amount/s that is less than or equal to my subscription and I meet the qualifying criteria will I receive my Free Connect allocation?Yes.
If my Top Up account debit order fails will I still receive my Free Connect Allocation?Yes.
