Meaningful Use“Meaningful Use” (MU) is the successful use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) by an Eligible Professional (EP) to meet requirements as specified by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). Meaningful Use must be met to qualify for EHR financial incentives from CMS.

Need an EHR?Has your practice been confronted with any of the following questions for which you need advice or assistance?

• What is an EHR?• How do I select an EHR?• Which vendor and software is best for my type of practice?• Is the EHR that my colleague has a good choice for me?• How do I get CMS incentive money for using an EHR?• Where do I start?

If you do not already have an EHR, we can assist with:

• Explaining the purpose, function, and benefits of implementing electronic health technology • Selecting an appropriate software and vendor for your practice• Educating your practice on project management and the EHR implementation process • Advising on key topics and “watch-outs” to address with your vendor• Guidance on how to manage the people that are part of your implementation process

Already have an EHR?PaperFree Florida will assist practices that have an EHR with:

• Identifying issues and defining solutions to ensure successful and efficient use of your system• Switching from one EHR to another EHR• Upgrading your EHR to a certified version• Registering for Meaningful Use incentives• Education on the Meaningful Use stages, metric, and measures• Utilizing your certified EHR’s Meaningful Use dashboards and scorecards• Guidance on the Meaningful Use registration and attestation process• Assist with components of Meaningful Use
