solution, c’est de trouver un sponsor.

Sponsoring at the Paralympics
- With this blade, Marie-Amélie Le Fur can run. But
her passion has a price: 11,000 Euros per blade,
which must be renewed almost every year. A cost
often too difficult to take on. The solution is to find a
sponsor. An even more difficult task when you are a
disabled athlete.
- We had to push some boundaries. Begging is not
necessarily something very nice to do. But when
you have no choice, when it allows you to thrive,
and when the partner are very pleased with the
partnership at the end, it is a joy. And it also allows
you to meet many people. These are always
pleasant moments.
- For Marie-Amélie Le Fur, it worked out. She is part
of the EDF Team, like Arnaud Assoumani or Charles
Rozoy. But other athletes are not so lucky. Their
cause is often difficult to plead. Fortunately, things
are changing, thanks to the values they put
forward.
- They are very determined people, that have uh, a
passion, but that above all, have an incredible
morale. And for us, uh, I think that this is above all,
what we want to show.
- Not everyone has the media aura of Team EDF.
Thus, the Paralympics are a great opportunity to be
seen for those who are still looking for sponsors.
EDF, short for Électricité de France, is the major French electric utility company.
