Originally formed over 100 years ago within the USA based Torin Corporation, and established as its UK subsidiary in 1964. Torin-Sifan has developed into an independent market leader in the supply of air movement products that celebrated 50 years of UK innovation in 2014.

Investments
During 2014, Torin-Sifan opened its new EC Manufacturing and Technology Centre in the UK. Providing additional capacity to ensure best in-class service levels for the ever increasing demand for high efficiency fans.
2015 will see Torin-Sifan launch its latest generation EC motor platform offering leading edge specification, various features and benefits, and design for manufacture construction techniques ensuring high reliability and quality performance.

Direct Drive Pedigree
Torin-Sifan started manufacturing direct drive fans in our UK factory in 1964. We have since established ourselves as the leading producer of direct drive fans in Europe. Millions of Torin-Sifan direct drive fans have been produced and supplied to the air movement market over the years.
Torin-Sifan offer a full range of direct drive fans utilising both traditional AC motor technology as well as three phase AC motors with integrated inverters providing higher efficiencies and enhanced controllability known as frequency controlled direct drive (FCDDC).
The FCDDC range, whilst operating with a 230V single phase supply, makes use of a highly efficient three phase AC motor. High efficiency levels can be maintained under speed control via the integrated frequency inverter. The range also offers our customers significant intelligence and flexibility with the options of being programmed for constant volume, constant pressure or constant speed performance. Features normally only associated with EC motors.
In addition, all of our direct drive products benefit from a range of accessories which can be factory fitted including outlet flanges, mounting feet, cubic frames and painted finishes.
Our latest generation ECDDC range, with on-board electronics, offers the ultimate in efficiency and controllability and far exceeds the efficiency requirements of the Energy Related Products Directive (ErP), January 2015.

ErP
ErP stands for ‘Energy Related Products’. The ErP Directive 2009/125/EC is focussed on reducing energy consumption of fans. Regulation 327/2011 applies to fans with input power between 125W and 500kW. ISO 12759 has been established to allow fan producers to measure the efficiency of fans in a consistent manner and determine compliance to the Directive.
The efficiency of the fan is expressed as a Fan Motor Efficiency Grade (FMEG).
The Torin-Sifan FCDDC range use high efficiency three phase AC motors that offer considerable energy savings when compared to a traditional AC motor.
Torin-Sifan FCDDC fans comfortably exceed the requirements of the ErP Directive from January 2015.

Description
Torin-Sifan FCDDC fans are a range of forward curved fans powered by intelligent, controllable and highly efficient three phase AC motors with integrated frequency inverter controller. Constant flow, pressure and speed are achievable with this range whilst being extremely quiet due to the elimination of mechanical resonances.
Impeller sizes range from 241-181 (9/7) to 321-321 (12/12) driven by motors ranging from input powers of 634W to 1527W.
Fan cases and impellers are manufactured from corrosion resistant galvanised steel.
This type of high flow fan is typically used in ventilation, heating, AHUs, air curtains and heat recovery applications.
