The attendance at the prayer meeting has constantly been on the increase. The last one was held in the main audito r ium. No t on ly has the re been anincrease in numbers, but in spiritualblessing as well. Three were at the altarof prayer last meeting. Souls are findingGod.

The Summer Holiness Camp Meetingis now in progress. Several of our youngpeople are camping there. Rev. C. HBabcock is back again this year, ^thRev. J. C. Henderson from Columbus,

A very pleasant socialtime was had by the En-deavorers and the Epworth

Leaguers at the Cone home, Wednesdayeven ing , Ju ly 23 .

A number of our people have been oncamping trips of a few days the pastm o n t h .

Aaron Pickard and son, Arthur Had-ley, also Walter Hadley and wife, wentto Pine near the headwaters of the BoiseRiver, and all enjoyed the fishing.

The McKibben family came back muchrefreshed from a trip to Pine Flat. Theywere so delighted with outdoor life thatthey find it hard to confine themselvesto the house since coming back.

One years' experience in the publication of our little paper "A Friendly Endeavor" has given us opportunity to trythe exper ience. The resul ts have notbeen altogether unsatifactory. There isn o w a c i r c u l a t i o n o f s o m e t h i n g m o r ethan 300 copies per month, going intoseven states and six foreign countries. We have finished our first year free ofall debt and in a straw vote publishedin the last issue an overwhelming senti-mentseemod to be in favor of cont inuanceof the paper, and if the expression''isany indication of the future there certainly should be little hesitation in attempting a new year.

We need a large subscription list, andas soon as condi t ions warrant , four morepages added, so a larger diversity of interests of the young people can be served.

We recommend that the paper be cont i n u e d a n d t h a t t h e C . E . U n i o n o f t h eY. M. be asked for an appropiation of$50.00 for the use of the Board.

We feel a hearty vote of appreciationshould be given those who have given sounstintingly of their time and strengthto the editing, publication and postingof this paper.

H. L. Cox, Chairman.Much appreciation was expressed of the

labors and results of the Editor of "AFriendly Endeavor.",

The recommendation of the Publication Board for an appropiation of $50.00for use of the Board was accepted.

and Bertha Barker were appointedleaders to divide the society into equalnumbers and enter into a friendly contest to raise the money. The losing sideis to entertain the winning side someevening by singing the new songs in thenew song book.

The reports of the Lookout Committee,Missionary Committee, and the FlowerCommittee, were especially good, showingt h a t t h e c o m m i t t e e s w e r e h a r d a t w o r k .

After the business meeting a pleasanthour was spent in games and singing. The society was especially glad to haveEdward Smith with them again; alsoan old Endeavorer of past years in theperson of Olive Ramsey, now Mrs. FrankFisher, and her husband, who were visiting their sister, Mrs. Tamplin. Refreshments were served and everybody wenthome in a good humor.

In spite of the hot weather the C. E's.are pushing the work ahead.

The last two C. E. prayer meetingshave been spent in the study of OurDenomination, its doctrine and history.Much interest is being shown.

Have we, the Young people of OregonYearly Meeting, the experience in heartwhich our forefathers had,, that wewould, gladly go through persecution andeven death for our Heavenly Father'ssake and for the principles we hold as aQuaker Church? If we haven't, whyhaven't we? This experience of ourforefathers is for us young people oftoday as well. Thank Cod we believewe have that kind of young people inOregon Yearly meeting today.
