Thank You Kathy The time has come to bid our Co-President Kathy Seder good-bye & Bonne Chance. I want to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for all her support & service throughout this past year. She has been a dedicated and true friend to the “Friends" and though she finds that she will be unable to fulfill the role of Co-Prez due to family demands & commitments, she promises to help out whenever possible. We look forward to her continued presence on the board

ANNUAL REPORT
Once again the Friends had a wonderfully enjoyable and productive year thanks to the ef-forts of all our members. Our activities included: a well-attended Book Author Luncheon listening to the delightful "Tales" of the Northeast Kingdom spun by Howard Frank Mosher, continuation of the One Book/ One Child Program for all students K thru 6 at the Moultonborough Central, school weekly computer instruction every Wednesday, plus various Summer computer classes, 6 thought provoking and extremely interesting “Book Discussions with Scholars,” informal book talks, a much appreciated "Soup & Sweets" Mid-Winter party for the community, the providing of free passes to local attractions for library card holders, and of course, our ever successful fund raiser, The 13th Biannual House & Garden Tour. The Friends also finance and help out with the children's Holiday Parties throughout the year. Noel Ainscow was honored with the Mary Rice 2013 Award for outstanding Service to the Library at the Book/Author Luncheon. The 2nd annual President's Awards were given out to Anne-Marie Welch and Dottie Simpson for their ongoing contributions to the Friends. We were also instrumental in arranging for a free gift of 12 lovely Lilac bushes to be deliv-ered from the State Commission on Wildflowers and Lilacs to the Library this spring. Feel free to stroll around the Pergola to view them. A new joint-venture program of "Tea & Talks" with Bayswater Book Company brought Linda Greenlaw of the "Perfect Storm" and author of over 10 books to our Program room for a wonderful afternoon, as well as an evening with Thomas Mickey, Master Gardener. Keep on the lookout for more of these programs.
THE PRESIDENT'S AWARD
The purpose of the President's Award is to recognize individuals who in the past year have served our library in an outstanding voluntary capacity. This year we have selected two deserving recipients who have quietly, faithfully and energetically worked to make our library the success it is. The award consists of a book of the recipient's choosing to be purchased by the Friends and pre-sented to the library in their honor as well as plaque stating the award. Those honored this year are Dottie Simpson and AnneMarie Welch. Dottie has organized, led and fed teams of workers
who have strategically placed the House Tour signs complete with balloons in all kinds of weather the night before every House Tour for the last decade...she has literally "showed us the way" for years. AnneMarie Welch has without complaint and with an ever-ready “Can Do" attitude used her computer talents to suggest, design and create all the signs, raffle tickets and House Tour pam-phlets whenever and how often asked to do so. We appreciate, thank and commend these women for their dedicated ”Volunteer spirit” and unfailing tenacity for task completion. On behalf of all of us we say "KUDOS!”

TO THE HOMEBOUND
The Moultonborough Public Library and the Altrusa Club are pleased to offer a book de-
livery service to the homebound of Moultonborough. The Library offers an exten-
sive book selection, books on CD, books on tape, LARGE PRINT BOOKS, and many maga-
zines and videos. The staff at the Library will be happy to assist you with selections and
answer your questions. Altrusa volunteers will deliver and pick-up books on approxi-
mately a two-week cycle. If you are not a member of the library, arrangements for a
card may easily be made. Please call the Library for further information.
