We want home learning to be a valuable part of our student’s development. ‘The 3 P’s’

• PREP: tasks involving reading and preparation for a future lesson;

• PRACTICE: tasks that encourage students to ‘make it stick’ by revisiting and practising skills from their lessons;

• PROJECT: tasks involving an extended project over a number of weeks.

Step 3 – Parent Portal Home Page

A quick summary of what is

in the Parent Portal, and

what each tab does. Each of

the tabs are linked, so you

can click on “Contact Staff”

it will direct you to that

page.

Help guides are online on the

Parent Portal, if any help is

needed or questions need to

answered the help guides should

be able to help.

Step 4 – Homework Page

When you have clicked on the homework,

you will be brought to this.

When you click on “Open

Assignment” the homework

that has been assigned from

your child`s teacher will show

up. As seen below.

Down below is the homework that had

been set by the teacher. This has been

viewed through the “Open Assignment”

function.

Step 5 – My Child Page

Year Group

Dashboards are

filled with notices

for each year

group which you

have access to.

This will keep you

in touch with

current affairs

regarding your

child`s year group.

On this page you are able to view the

curriculum subjects that your child is taught. By

clicking on the subjects it shows you the

resources that your child has access to and the

homework that has been set. Above on the left, you are able to view your

child`s timetable. This makes you aware on what

lessons your son/ daughter has had today.

Step 6 – Latest News Page

The Latest News tab has embedded the school

website which has all the latest information

regarding the school.

The page takes you directly to all the Headlights

articles.

Step 7 – Contact Staff Page

The Contact Staff has embedded the school website which has all the relevant and

up to date contact details you will need.

This includes Curriculum leaders, Administration teams and so on.

Step 8 – Update Your Contact Details Page

On this page there is a form that you can fill out if you have changed your

number or moved house. This form makes it easier as you will not have to come

into school to update your details.

Step 9 – Parent Information Page

On the Parent Information tab the school website has been embedded so

that any information needed is easily accessible. All information on the

website will be the latest.

Step 10 – Digital Safeguarding Page

Digital Safeguarding is extremely important at Harlington School. On your Parent Dashboard

we have embedded the E-Safety page onto Frog so that if you need any information or

advice regarding E-Safety it will be easily accessible.

Step 11 – How to download the Frog app? • To download the Frog App type in the App Store or Google Play Store “My Frog App”

To log into your Frog account via MyFrog App you

need to enter Harlington School`s Frog URL

The URL is:

When you’ve entered the URL

you are asked to log into Frog

by providing your username

and password

You now enter your Frog username and

password.
