GARDENING CLUB Vidya Bharati School conducted the Plantation activity in Gardening Club in November 2017. Objectives :
Students came to know the importance of trees in our life.
To inculcate the habit of the Gardening Outcome : The students visited the garden and observed various plants like Turmeric, Mint etc. at the school premises under the guidance of a gardener and the club in charges. They were made aware of different types of plants and their usages. Students were explained with the help of examples & pictures about the process of growing of the seed into a plant / tree.
They enjoyed a lot and were happy to go through the Encyclopedia of Gardening.
COOKING CLUB
Activity : Cooking without fire. Objective : To inculcate the value of collective participation among students. The main motive of this activity is to teach students how they can prepare a snack without
fire and help their mothers at the time of need.
Participants : Students of Grade V to VIII Outcome : Students enjoyed making Chana Chaat, Salad, Sandwich, Bhelpuri, Pani Poori, Jaljeera, Shikanji and had a lot of fun sharing it with their friends.
Language Skills Club
Month - November 2017
1. Adjectives and Kinds (Grade IV)
Objective
- To be able to define, identify, classify and apply the Adjectives accurately.
An interactive classroom session on Adjectives and their kinds was conducted for Grade IV students. They were explained through group games and application exercises. Students were motivated to participate and to give examples.
2. Articles, Kinds and their usage (Grade V)
Objective - To be able to tell where to and where not to use articles. - To differentiate definite from indefinite articles. - To apply them accurately in a sentence. Grade V students were assembled in the Language Lab for the Language Skills Club. They were shown an informative and interesting module on Articles followed by explanation and discussion. Definite and Indefinite Articles were discussed. Their understanding of related topic was assessed through a short Question answer session. Outcome - It has been observed that Students’ grasp widens when training incorporates various
tools as visual stimulation, opportunities to explore etc. Group games and language lab
experiences are a mode of learning without the stress of learning.
PANORAMA - INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION
Date and venue Panorama, An Interschool Competition was conducted on 30thNovember 2017 in the Auditorium of Vidya Bharati School.
Agenda 1. To build up competitive spirit amongst students. 2. To inculcate the value that participation is more important than winning. 3. To give them exposure of public speaking. 4. To develop confidence in themselves.
Participants Students of Grade – Pre -Nursery to KG of various play schools of Delhi & NCR as A to Z Public School, Petals, Makoons, Kidzee Gyan,The Shalimar Pre- Primary School, Decorum play and Nursery School, Champs Valley, Fulwari Play School, Fulwari Public School etc.
Highlights This Interschool Competition consisted of various events all together. All the students actively participated in events like Clay Moulding, Paper tearing and Pasting, Colouring, Ramp Walk and Dance. They adorned the Ramp Walk with their splendid costumes. They enjoyed themselves a lot as they got an opportunity to interact with the students of other schools.
Analysis The Tiny Tots participated in the events with full enthusiasm and fortitude. It also helped in improving their confidence levels. Thus, in a nutshell it was a magnificent and Gala event. List of Students who outshone the others and grabbed the medals are given here under :

VISIT TO DELHI ZOO
Date and venue A picnic was organized on 30.11.17 at Delhi zoo for Grade 1 & 2.
Agenda 1. To make students aware about different animals. 2. To inculcate the values like caring, sharing and taking care of each other. 3. To make them responsible.
Highlights
The students were taken to Delhi Zoo by the school bus. After reaching the zoo, the
students were accompanied with their respective class teachers and were exposed to
different kinds of animals in the zoo under the car & guidance of the teacher in charges.
They saw animals like White tiger, Lion, Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, White buck, Gharial,
Leopard, Zebra, Bear, and many birds like Indian Parakeet, Owl, Peacock, Parrots, Hen,
Pheasant etc. After the Zoo visit the students had their lunch. They were also provided
snacks by the school.
The students and teachers really enjoyed the picnic. Students were very excited after the
visit and were looking forward for the next trip.
Analysis-
The picnic witnessed enthusiastic participation by the students and teachers.
HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
“Sports inculcate something in us that no institution, family or friendship can, A quality that eventually emanate from you, something called sportsmanship. Boys and girls Hockey teams of VBS displayed true sportsmanship by participating in the 6th All India D.R.Verma Inter School Invitational Hockey Tournament” Dates : 27th Nov- 3rd Dec 2017 Venue : Shivaji Stadium, Delhi Boys hockey team won the first round by defeating ‘General Raj School of Houz Khas by 3-0, Disha Bisht of grade IX A and Raj Shekhar of grade X B were bestowed upon with the prestigious title of ‘Man of the Match’ in the female and male categories respectively. They were presented with a hockey and a shield. Our esteemed coach Ms. Neelam Sharma always gave the mantra of Be Fair, Play hard’ to her players was also reckoned with the ‘Fair Play Trophy’ and honoured as the ‘Best Hockey Coach’ in the Tournament. To sum up we can say that our sports team won accolades due to its industrious players who fought incessantly and gave their best under the leadership of their inspiring coach.

9th WINTER CUP TAE-KWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP Venue : Noida Stadium Date : 2nd& 3rd December 2017 Nos. of School : 25 Age & Weight Categories : Sub Junior (18 to 35 Kg.), Cadet – (33 to 65 Kg.), Junior – (45 to 78 Kg.), Senior – (54 to 87 Kg.) 9th Winter Cup Tae-Kwon-do Championship was hosted by Kickers Tae-Kwon-do Academy at Noida Stadium with great pomp and show. Around 25 school of NCR participated. There were various weight categories of different age group. Tae-kwon-do students of Vidya Bharati School participated in this Tournament and did their best.

Legal literacy and Self- Defense Session
8th December was a very special day for the school as a special session for girls of class Vl to Xll
was organized by UP police Department in the Vidya Bharati School. The main objective of the
session was to teach the girl students about:-
Objective
• Their rights & laws related to their safety & protection. • Different legal procedures through which they can fight atrocities in family, society, work place etc. • Special scheme of UP Police to appoint them as Power Angel through which they can help the females in trouble. • Women Help Line 1091 & Women Police Stations.
Highlight
The team of Police Officers visited the school on time. Officers were welcomed by members of
students’ council at the reception The programme started with the welcome speech of the school
principal Dr. Manjusha Joshi.
The police officer interacted with the students in a very simple language. Students listened to the
speech very calmly. They asked several Questions after the end of the session. The queries of the
students were patiently handled by the officers.
Synopsis
Overall a very informative and interactive session was conducted which was very helpful for our
girls. They were provided with a form through which they can apply for POWER ANGEL posts.
Visit to Kohinoor Chocolate Factory
Date : 13th Dec 2017 Venue : Kohinoor chocolate factory , Noida Objective 1. Educational Trip. 2. To help the students to understand the overview of the manufacturing plant Highlights
130 students of class VII visited Kohinoor chocolate factory along with their class teachers.
The visit was initiated with a warm welcome by the representative. The students were shown a documentary introducing Parle Products’ history and revolution.
It also focused on how each product of Parle is manufactured in factory. It contains process of molding, backing, cooling, shaping and packaging. Students got really satisfactory answers to their queries.
Then coordinator led students through the plant and gave basic knowledge of each segments and process.
. Analysis
The visit greatly encouraged the students to think over a career in the manufacturing sector as well
as helped the students to enhance the knowledge. It surely provided an insight to the real working
environment of the industry.
Best Out of Waste Activity
Date and venue: As a part of our holistic development curriculum a BEST OUT OF WASTE Activity was organized for the students of grade IV and V on 15th December, 2017 in their classes Agenda:
To inculcate value Waste Material to be recycled.
To make them understand the importance of recycled products, and Save and clean environment
Participants: Students of grade IV and V Highlights: All the students participated enthusiastically. They showed keen interest while doing this activity. Analysis: The activity was a great learning experience for student’s imagination. They could recognize that waste material can be recycled and can help to save and clean our environment.
