• The organization is the 3rd party reviewer for conservation efforts in Maurepas, a town in Livingston Parish. As acknowledged by the National Audubon Society, this initiative will protect 675 acres of wetland, which is home to millions of migratory birds.

• The archives hold a 1620 Spanish criminal document.

• Recently, a criminal case from 1900 was received. Inside, was the record of a thumb being cut from a person. Also inside was the mummified thumb!

• The 1790 Treaty of New York is in the holdings.

• The original photos of Bonnie and Clyde immediately following their shooting are held here.
