You may have seen the legendary movie “The Wizard
of Oz,” but what if that wasn’t the real story? Stephen
Schwartz created Wicked, the 2003 Broadway show based
on the book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked
Witch of the West. It tells the story of Oz through song
and dance from the unusual viewpoints of the “good” and
“bad” witches. Like the book on which it’s based, Wicked
poses interesting questions about what is good and what
is bad. It may be a recent hit, but it is already surpassing
many box offi ce records.
