Praise to God orients our soul back to its true north. We regain our perspective on who is really important in a world of clamoring candidates for attention and adulation. Thanksgiving adjusts our attitude about life and brings back brilliant colors into a often pale gray routine. There is more to this life than missing the forest for the trees. Look up! Look out to the future! It is in the hands of God. Together we can continue to be generous as the Lord has blessed us. Today we continue to make a down payment on the future ministry of this church. Dear Church Family, What a tremendous April we have had! Easter 2019 was a great celebration of the resurrection of our Savior. FBC Brookhaven is a worshipping church and I am thankful for you. Historically and technically speaking, we celebrate the Resurrection every Sunday. It should always been on our minds that Jesus is Alive! Every man (except Enoch & Elijah) who ever lived or is currently living will die. There is only one man who came back to life…and He is still alive! We would do well to remember that every day, especially when we gather for worship. At FBC, our weekly worship services are prayerfully and carefully planned in great detail. It is my belief and conviction that Jesus deserves our best when we come together. There are so many talented and skilled people working behind the scenes to enhance our worship and to save us from distraction. I want to specifically thank the volunteers we get in our Media Ministry who are students. Without our students, we wouldn’t have lyrics on the screen. Without our students, we wouldn’t have multiple camera shots for our live broadcasts. Students, I want you to know that I see your good works and I give glory to God for them. I know you aren’t here to serve me or yourself, but the Living God. You sacrifice of praise is a blessing! Thank you, my young friends! If you are interested in serving in the Media Ministry, we need you! There are opportunities to help with lyrics, house sound, lighting, broadcast sound, cameras, and video directing.
