Payment: coin retained
A fee can be collected from users of the lockerwith a lockable box beneath the lock to collect thecoins. Each can hold approximately 55-70 £1coins; although for security reasons werecommend emptying them on a daily basis.
Deposit: coin return
Use of the lockers can be provided free ofcharge. A coin return lock solves the potentialproblem of users keeping the key on apermanent basis by requiring a deposit. This isreturned once the key is put back in the lock. Aplastic coin return tray is fitted to receive thereturned coin.

The ASSA Unimille is always delivered withinterchangeable cylinders. This provides severaladvantages – for example, you can easily replace thecylinder of a coin lock if the key should disappear.
Locks are always supplied under a master key with achoice of cylinders as shown below, dependant oncustomer requirements and security concerns.
Medium security8460 cylinder
ASSA 6-pin cylinders offer a medium level of security with alarge number of possible combinations. The high-qualitycylinder is very reliable in all types of environments.
Top securityDesmo 8950 cylinder
The ASSA Desmo is a patented top-security lock cylinder. Itoffers an extremely large number of combinations, allowing youto build very large lock systems with it. Keys can only be copiedat the factory, minimizing the risk of illicit copying. There arecurrently no known methods of manipulating
the ASSA Desmo cylinder. Its design ensures that the key isextremely strong.

The “penalty” function
The penalty function prevents users from “keeping” their lockerby not returning the key after use. If you chose the Desmocylinder for your Unimille lock, the penalty function is standard.
The lock owner has a special key that empties the deposit (thecoin) from the lock, resetting locks in which the key was notreturned. The person who kept the key must insert a new depositwhen he/she returns to the locker in order to keep using it.
This function is standard on locks with the Desmo cylinder and isavailable as an option on the 6-pin cylinder.
