Description:
This book acts as a record of the early days of the restoration process of All Hallows Hall, Easton. A Grade II listed former parish hall that has lain empty & unloved for 7 years. It was in terrible condition, ravaged by fire & full of waste. In August 2012, a group of community activists who formed during Occupy Bristol entered the building under Section 6 legislation (Commonly Known As “Squatting”).Undeterred by the conditions they immediately set to work, donating their limited resources and time. The property owners were so impressed upon discovery that they offered a 1 year lease with an option to purchase the building to hold in trust for the local community. In just 4 months All Hallows Hall has gone from a vacant, dangerous eyesore to a busy hub of activity, a Phoenix rising from its ashes. Documented by members of the crew as they went.

in terrible condition, ravaged by fire & full of waste.

In August 2012, a group of community activists who formed during Occupy Bristol entered the building under Section 6

legislation (Commonly Known As ™Squattingº).Undeterred by the conditions they immediately set to work,

donating their limited resources and time.

The property owners were so impressed upon discovery that they offered a 1 year lease with an option to purchase the building to hold in trust for the local community. In just 4

months All Hallows Hall has gone from a vacant, dangerous eyesore to a busy hub of activity, a Phoenix rising from its

ashes.

All Hallows Community Cooperative is an innovative skillshare project that aims to transform this previously

empty space into a workshop, community meeting place and a unique venue for the arts.

The process was documented by members of the crew as they went with basic camera equipment.
