In this last week of term I would like to wish everyone a
happy and safe school holidays. I hope that everyone gets
a chance to have a few sleep-ins before another busy term
gets underway.
In Term 3 we have Parent –Teacher Interviews in the first
week, so make sure to mark these on your calendar. We
hope to see as many parents as possible at school during
the week. In the weeks to follow we will be celebrating
Education Week with a special assembly, open classrooms,
our Briar’s Got Talent Finalists and our Athletics Carnival.
Term 3 will also see us celebrate NAIDOC week and Book
Week, and we will be holding a number of parent
workshops so stay tuned for dates and details.
A big thanks to all of the staff and students who have
supported me in Mrs Browne’s absence. It’s been a lot of
fun in the Principal’s shoes!
Have a great school holiday!
Mrs Miezio

STAGE 3 MINAMURRA RAINFOREST
STAGE 2 WOOGLEMAI EXCURSION
This term KV delved into Eric Carle’s book, The
Very Hungry Caterpillar. In Writing, have been
focusing on using a capital letter at the
beginning of a sentence, finger spaces and full
stops.
KV produced some amazing artwork for the Reconciliation Week Exhibition! They had a great time
learning about people’s different life stories, painting and singing along to music.
In Mathematics, we’ve been very busy bees with number counting and numeral identification. We
are starting to learn how to skip count by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. We’ve taken a glance at data and how to
interpret a graph too.
