Pre-Blotted Western Strips With Human, Mouse or Rat Tissue Already Transferred

All gels are full-length using the Protean TIxi (Bio-Rad).

SDS-PAGE gel shows two human brain samples and molecular weight standards (Sigmamarker, Sigma Chemicals).

HybondTM ECLTM Nitrocellulose membrane (Amersham) after transfer.~ Membrane has been stained with Ponceau S ~ (Sigma) showing the transferred proteins.

Developed X-ray film of the immunoblotted membrane. Membrane was 'probed with Synapsin 1 antibody (StressGen) and developed via an HRP-Secondary and enhanced chemiluminescence (ECLTM, Amersham).

Research Genetics is now selling nitrocellulose strips with human, mouse, or rat tissue transferred. You may select from an assortment of tissues from the nervous, reproductive, circulatory, and other systems. Contact us for a complete list of available tissues for transfer.

Strips are prepared according to our standard protocols. However, they can be custom ordered with modifications that include stiffer or more pliant gels and tissue preparations that favor protein extraction from various sites in the cell. Depending upon the steps involved, custom protocols may be substituted for our protein extraction steps.

Along with a nitrocellulose strip that represents the transferred tissue, you will receive a stained gel slice that has been dried and laminated. This gel slice will include both the tissue of choice and molecular weight markers. Strips start at $180.

Various panels are available. Researchers may purchase an assortment of tissues from the same species or the identical tissues from a variety of species. Contact us for our complete information on tissue panels.
