Mr. Thomas Smnith was admitted into the Society. Professor Jacques Hadamard (Paris); Professor Graham Lusk (New

York); Professor Walther Nernst (Berlin) and Professor Theobald Smnith (Princeton), were elected Foreign Members of the Society.

Professor C. U. ARIENS KAPPERS delivered the David Ferrier lecture on "Some Correlations between the Brain and the Skull."

A Portrait of Lord Rutherford, painted by Mr. Oswald Birley, was presented to the Society on behalf of the subscribers by the Earl of Crawford and Balcarres.

Professor W. A. BONE, F.R.S., delivered the Bakerian lecture on "The Combustion of Hydrocarbons."
