The Journal is sponsored by the Canadian Economics Association. It publishes papers and reviews in French and in English. Its contents are indexed in the Humanities and Social Sciences Index, the Canadian Periodical Index, and the Journal of Economic Literature. Manuscript submissions, and all correspondence relating to the content of the Journal or of the Canadian Journal of Economics and Political Science, should be directed to the Managing Editors, Canadian Journal of Economics, Departement des Sciences economiques, Universit6 de Montr6al, CP 6128, Montr6al 250. Manuscripts should be submitted in three copies.

The annual subscription rate for the Journal is $12. Individuals may join the Canadian Economics Association on payment of an annual fee of $10 ($5 for students), which includes a subscription to the Journal.

All correspondence relating to membership in the Association or subscription to the Journal should be directed to the University of Toronto Press, Periodicals Departmnent, Front Campus, Toronto 181, Canada.

Joint memberships are available for individuals with the Canadian Political Science Association at a fee of $20 and with La Societe canadienne de Science 6conomique at a fee of $12.

All remittances must be in Canadian funds. Cheques should be made payable to University of Toronto Press.

The Journal is published with the assistance of a grant from the Canada Council.
