Where did All About Health come from?
• Customers don’t know how to promote themselves
• Customers fail to tell people about the services they offer
• Consumers don’t know what pharmacy can offer
• Customer need = promotion of pharmacy to the consumer
• Introduction of All About Health– promoting pharmacy to the consumer
– Launched July 2009– We have launched something that no one else in the industry has
It’s a perfect time because…
• Mintel: Health is one of the top five concerns of people in the UK today
• Diabetes UK: 2.25 million people in the UK diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes with a further 0.5M undiagnosed
• NHS: It is estimated that 12,500 people die every year from influenza
• Health Secretary: by 2050 two-thirds of men and half of all women in Britain could be clinically obese, at a cost to the NHS of £50 billion.
• Dept of Health: Vascular screening programme to prevent at least 9500 heart attacks and strokes, 2000 deaths and 4000 people developing diabetes each year
