HX5 Accomplishes Phenomenal Growth with PTAC Support

Laura Subel, from the Florida SBDC’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provided invaluable support and assistance to HX5 throughout the application process for 8(a) certification.

Subel provided one-on-one counseling and guidance to HX5 during it’s course of business with federal, state and local governments.

Page 39: FSBDC Network Specialized Program

39

As a result of the 8(a) certification and Ms. Subels assistance, HX5 was able to accomplish phenomenal growth within a year of being certified and continues to build upon it’s success.

In 2007, HX5 had 3 employees. By 2008, revenues had increased to over $2 million and by 2009, HX5 employed more than 50 people.

Since receiving 8(a) certification, the total current contract values to date have reached over $45 million. HX5 currently employs over 120 people supporting it’s customers mission in over 20 states and in more than 29 locations throughout the United States.

40

HX5 believes that the success we have achieved is a direct result of the tremendous assistance provided by PTAC.

“We recognize that as a direct result of Laura Subel’s support, HX5 was granted the 8(a) certification, awarded it’s first 8(a) contract and has successfully secured additional contracts from the government. PTAC is an integral part of our continued success.” Margie Howard – President and CEO
