-Vanpool programs: $690,000-Taxi user side subsidy: $1,483,000

• Southeastern Michigan: SMART-Community Partnership Program saved $ 2.7 million(2002 figures)

• Portland, OR: Tri-Met & Ride Connection-As mobility manager for special needs riders, Ride Connection saved Tri-Met $ 1.973 Million in FY 2001

• Launched in early 2013• Jointly operated by three national organizations:– Easter Seals– American Public Transportation Association– Community Transportation Association of America

• Through a cooperative agreement with the Federal Transit Administration, U.S. DOT

To support FTA grantees, mobility managers, and partners in adopting proven, sustainable, responsive, and replicable models related to:

Regional Communication Liaisons Match five Regional Communication Liaisons

(Center Staff) to each FTA region Provide quarterly communication exchanges

To be successful, mobility management requires three basic elements:

1) Collaboration among public and private transportation providers, 2) Coordination of information and services, and 3) Effective communication, planning and service design with customers.
