Full Maturity

EPHESIANS 4 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things,

which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 411 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some

prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists

(preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds

of His flock) and teachers.12 His intention was the perfecting

and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering

toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

Ephesians 413 [That it might develop] until we all attain

oneness in the faith [and in the comprehension of the full and accurate]

knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the

completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness

found in Him.14 So then, we may no longer be children,

tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the

cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of

trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

Ephesians 415 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth

[in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined

and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each

part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full

maturity, building itself up in love.

Purpose:

•empowering the people: cutting away; building up

•Oneness in the faith (full stature)

•not moved by falsehood

•lives expressing truth (manifesting)

•every member supplies

Not jumping up and down, hollering, that isn't it. It's the Word that makes alive. The Word's quickened, not experiences; the Word.


Just a lot of carrying on, that's the way too many people do: too much carrying on without

enough Word behind it to back up. Grow up. "Oh, he danced in the Spirit last night,

Brother Branham; he's all right." No, that don't make him all right to me. No, sir. Got to grow up, be proved, tested, growing up to Him,

seasoned.


159 He that's got good gold don't dread going to the testing machine (Uh-huh, that's

right.), he that's got the Truth. That's the reason I make a challenge. Any man come and show me

where the baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ is wrong. Show me this birth that you got to die, and if you still got the world in you,

you're still of the world. Show me these things. Don't have to worry about it, take it to

the testing machine. Here's the Testing Machine. See, see? That's right.

So they said, "You're going anyhow." And a bunch of the brothers picked him up, and the

robe vanished. See? Wouldn't Pentecostal people eat that up today? Oh, my. It looked like the real thing, but it wasn't according to the

Word.


Stay with the Word. That's the string of Life today. There'll be spirits rise after while

that'll deceive everything nearly. The Bible said so. "As Jannes and Jambres withstood

Moses, so will these men of reprobated mind concern the Truth," perform miracles and do all

kinds of signs. But stay with that Word. The Word of the Lord came to the prophet, and

they brought It forth, and we believe the prophets.


Born Christians grow into the statute of Christ as they live. They're borned again, and their lives

begin to shape like a baby. It takes form and begins to grow. First thing you know, here

they are in the full statute. Amen. There you are. Day after day, year after year, they stay the same. Now, come back to the Word, "If ye

abide in Me..."


But be borned of the Spirit and grow into the statute of Christ. You see it, Brother Dauch?

Growing into the statute of Christ. Through your life, proves... Like if you were borned a prophet,

you'll remain that. If you were borned a Christian, you'll remain that. "If ye abide in

Me and My Words abide in You..."


Let denominations and creeds come, go, let isms; keep me humble, Lord, stay right with the Word and move right on through the

stream. She'll guide us to the shore. Full statue-ment...


So, O Christians, in closing this Words, let me say this. Let us turn to Him and His Word

with all sincerity. Come humbly like Christians, and be born again of His Spirit. And when you are born again, you are vindicated a Christian by the fruits that you bear. You are a Christian by your fruits that you bear. "By

their fruits you shall know them." That's a vindication. You might not know your abc's, but

yet you can be a lady, a Christian.


He was vindicated. That's right. He was being a-vindicated. Something had happened to him. His being was changed from darkness to

light, from blind to sight.And a man that's borned of the Spirit of God, that once had a form of godliness, deny the Word thereof, and the power thereof, and to

saying "The days of miracles is passed..." When he's born again, he might not be a scholar, he

might not be able to explain It, but he believes It.

that He loved, to show that His patience, to show His power, to show and to manifest Himself. God lived in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself.

They did their works out of the love of God that was shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy

Ghost. That love in their hearts was God's love for His own.

It was a voice, that, he realized that that's the thing that fit. That was what he's looking for,

see, and he realized then that he wasn't a chicken. He was an eagle.


And that's the way, every born-again Christian, when you come. I don't care how many

denominations you joined, how many names, you put your name on the books and things.

When that real Word of God is vindicated and made true before you like that, you

realize you're an eagle, right there. Because, all this clucking of the hen, "You join

this and join this, and go this way and that way," it's nonsense. It's a genuine, adding Word to

Word.


Luther's justification, Wesley's sanctification, pentecostal's baptism of the Holy Spirit,

restoration of the gifts, and all the rest of It, goes with It. See? It's got to be Word on top of

Word, germ on top of germ, Life on top of Life, to bring out the full statue of the

Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ.

E-26 Now, if you'll notice, He said as it was in the days of Noah, in the days of Noah before the flood, how it would be. And God was not willing that any should perish, but that all might come to repentance. Then He suffered long. The

flood stage was way past due.Down in Egypt, it was way past due. Do you get it? In the antediluvian destruction now, way past due, the destruction and judgment, and coming

But God was determined; God was determined that His Word would not return to Him. He was

going to keep His Word. He has to keep His Word. He must do it in order to be God. If He has to make a--a change of everything, and by grace

He will do it. That's the reason I say, if the church does not get herself ready, that's your

duty to get ready, "The Bride has made herself ready." The garments is paid for. They are ready,

but you must be ready to wear those garments. The Church has made herself ready.

E-27 And we know that those that are going to make up that bride is going to be His church, and they're going to appear before Him without spot or wrinkle. And they have the material on earth now to make themselves ready.


E-28 If you notice, it said, "She has made herself ready." So many says, "If the Lord will take this evil spirit from me, from drinking, or from gambling, or from lying, or stealing, I'll

serve Him." But that's up to you. You got to do something too. "They that overcome shall inherit all things," they that overcome. You have power to do it, but you must be willing to lay it down. See? She has made herself ready. I like

that Word.


You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say,

"Blessed is he that overcometh." You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you

through. But you've got to make decisions for yourself. I have to make decisions for myself. In doing that, we show our faith and

respects to God.


E-29 Abraham was promised a child, but he must maintain this promise for twenty-five

years, the ups-and-downs that he had and temptations in those twenty-five years; but he

held to the word of the promise.And Israel was promised a promised land, but

they had to fight for every inch of it. "Wherever the soles of your foot treads upon,

that have I given you," God said to Joshua. It was all there. The land was there, and God gave it to

them; but they must fight for it.


E-30 The same way it is about Divine healing. God's got the power to heal you, if you've got

the courage to accept it. But you'll fight every inch of the way. God's got amazing grace to save

you, and He will do it. But you'll fight every inch of your way.


I've been behind the pulpit going on thirty-one years. And every inch of that has been a fight, constantly. It certainly has. But we must fight if we must reign. So we find out that the bride has

to make herself ready, be willing to "lay aside every weight that does so easily beset us, that we might run with patience the race that's set

before us." We must lay them aside ourself. We can't say, "God, You come, lay them aside for

us." We got to do that ourselves.
