to you and your friends. In this booklet you will find activities
to entertain the whole family. We encourage you to engage
your children in these fun and educational recreational
activities. We hope this will help our communities grow to
be healthy and happy. On the back page you can find our

Fast Facts Dice Game!Dice building: 15 minutes
Game: 5-20 minutesParticipants: 1+
Dice Instructions:
1. Open and print the PDF found here
2. Cut out the cube by following the lines.
3. Add the numbers 1-6 to the cube.
Extension: If you are working on higher
numbers, try using numbers 7-12 on
just one or both dice!
4. Fold the edges of the cube lines.
5. Add glue or tape to the glue tabs then
assemble the cube.
6. Time to play the game!
QUESTION FOR THE KIDS: Why is it important to know your addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts? What other games could you
create using the homemade dice?

Game:
Write down everyone’s name
with a space to keep score.
Decide if you are practicing
addition, subtraction, or
multiplication facts. Pass the
dice around the circle. When
its your turn, roll the dice and
then add, subtract or multiply
the dice! First person to get 5
correct facts, wins!

Neighborhood Nature Hike
Duration: 20-30 minutes Participants: 1+
Instructions:
1. Cut the cardboard to make 2
8”x8” squares.
2. Fold the newspaper to fit inside
the squares to form layers.
3. Use the rubber bands to hold
the press together.
4. Decorate the outside of the
plant press.
5. Take a family nature hike and
gather leaves and flowers.
6. Place the collected plants
between the layers of
newspaper and use the rubber
bands to hold it together.
7. Leave the plants in the press,
check them after 2 weeks to
see if they are dry.

Be a good
neighbor! Ask before
you take a plant from a
neighbor’s yard.

Instructions: 4-H would like to challenge each of you to say, “Thank
You” this week to the first responders, essential staff, and the helpers
in our lives. See below for 5 ways to say thank you to helpers.

1. Create a thank you card for a helper that you know.
2. Design a “thank you” poster to hang in your window.
3. Draw a chalk “thank you” message to display in your
neighborhood.
4. Make an encouraging and artistic yard sign to place outside for
others to see when they drive by.
5. Film a short video with a helpful adult saying, “Thank You”.

No-Yeast Pizza CrustDuration: 35-40 minutes Participants: 1+
Ingredients:
[ 1 1/3 cups all-purpose
flour, try half whole wheat
[ 1 teaspoon baking
powder
[ ½ teaspoon of salt
[ ½ cup nonfat or 1% milk
[ 2 Tablespoons oil
Instructions:
1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Stir in milk and oil until a
soft dough forms.
2. Turn dough onto a clean, lightly floured surface and knead 6 to 8 times.
Dough should feel soft but smooth; not sticky. Shape dough into a ball.
Turn the bowl upside down over the dough. Let sit for 10 minutes.
3. On a baking sheet, roll or press dough into a 12-inch circle.
4. Bake crust at 400 degrees F for 8 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and add your choice of sauce and toppings.
6. Return to oven and bake until light golden brown, 12 to 20 minutes.
Serve hot.
7. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.

Masa de Pizza sin LevaduraDuración: 35-40 minutos Participantes: 1+
Ingredientes:
[ 1 1⁄3 taza de harina
[ 1 cucharadita de polvo
de hornear
[ 1⁄2 cucharadita de sal
[ 1⁄2 taza de leche sin
grasa o 1%
[ 2 cucharadas de aceite
Preparación:
1. Mezcle la harina, el polvo de hornear y la sal en un tazón. Incorpore la
leche y el aceite hasta que se forme una masa suave.
2. Voltee la masa en una superficie limpia y ligeramente enharinada y
amase de 6 a 8 veces. La masa debe sentirse suave pero lisa, no

encima de la asa. Deje reposar durante 10 minutos.
