Plasmodium ovale Plasmodium falciparum

The Plasmodium parasite uses both

mosquito and humans as a host. They live

inside the mosquito’s salivary glands until

they are transferred into the human system

where they reproduce.

While the Plasmodium causes malaria, doctors use substances such as Quinine and Chloroquine to treat malaria.
