Message from our Minister Dear Friends, Lawns are being cut, BBQ’s are being fired up, Wimbledon fever is about to start and the sun has made a belated appearance – the great British Summer has arrived! We are con-tinuing with our post Pentecost journey, looking at the early church in the book of Acts. The early church was characterized by being a community of believers who “devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42). We will be looking at this verse over the next few weeks and seeing what we might be able to learn from this verse as we seek to understand what God wants us to “be devoted” to. Please sign up to join us in Alexandra Park on Tues – Thurs, 27 – 29th August when we will be joined by a team from Living Faith church in New York, book a day or two off work if necessary and also join in the ‘Summer meals for 6’ during July and August when we hope people will get together to share a meal and some fellowship (see Sarah for details).

God Bless, Steve

Church Meeting Following the service on 21

July, there will be a half-hour church meeting at which we will consider a couple of key issues. This will replace the

evening church meeting scheduled in July and could

become the pattern for future meetings

Later in August we will host a team of 10 from Living Faith Church in Long Island, USA. Prior to their visit, Living Faith Pastors Ed Kirkland and Mark Lydecker are visiting us from 22-25 July. During their trip they'll be meeting with our Deacons and wider leadership, talking to Christian leaders around Stockport and visiting the Message Trust. Please give them a warm welcome
