Fun Week – Second Class Hi girls, It is hard to believe that we have now reached our final week in second class. It has been a very strange few months and we have really missed school a lot. We miss the classrooms, we miss the staff but most of all we miss seeing you girls everyday. You have all done a great job of doing your schoolwork at home and it has been a pleasure seeing all the fantastic things you have been getting up to. You are a super bunch of girls and we are so proud of you all. This week is fun week, so the only thing we want you to make sure you do, is HAVE FUN!!!! Smile, laugh, joke, and enjoy yourselves. We have come up with a few ideas of activities that you might find fun to do and as always girls, send us as many photos as you like. We love receiving them. Best wishes, Ms. Phelan & Ms. Mooney Email: [email protected] Email: [email protected]

Fun Week – Second Class

Hi girls,

It is hard to believe that we have now reached our final week in second class. It

has been a very strange few months and we have really missed school a lot. We

miss the classrooms, we miss the staff but most of all we miss seeing you girls

everyday. You have all done a great job of doing your schoolwork at home and it

has been a pleasure seeing all the fantastic things you have been getting up to.

You are a super bunch of girls and we are so proud of you all. This week is

fun week, so the only thing we want you to make sure you do, is HAVE FUN!!!!

Smile, laugh, joke, and enjoy yourselves.

We have come up with a few ideas of activities that you might find fun to do

and as always girls, send us as many photos as you like. We love receiving them.

Best wishes,

Ms. Phelan & Ms. Mooney

Materials: Shaving foam, watercolour paints/ food colouring, shallow dish,

white card, dropper, lollipop stick, a piece of cardboard

1. Cut your white piece of card in half.

2. Spray some shaving foam into the base of your glass dish.

3. Using a dropper, add a few drops of paint/food colouring to the

shaving foam. Make sure to drop the colours all over the foam,

4. Using a lollipop stick, gently swirl the colours around in the foam.

5. Gently press one side of your piece of card onto the foam.

6. Hold the card up. (The coloured foam should be on your card)

7. Using a piece of cardboard, scrape the excess foam off your white

card.

8. Add more foam and paints and repeat the process again.

9. Be creative and think of different things you could make with your

unique marble card. (a card, a poster, a notebook cover)

Art: Create a Memory Box

1. Find a shoebox and decorate the outside of it.

2. Using a sheet of paper, write a list of all the things you got up to during

the lockdown.

3. Now see can you find pictures, recipes, art and craft pieces, projects,

worksheets or anything else that you did during the past few weeks. You

might like to include some newspaper articles.

4. Put as many bits and pieces into the shoe box that represent what being

in lockdown was like for you.

5. Finally, write a letter to your future self. Write down what has happened

over the past few weeks, how you kept busy, how you felt, all the things

you missed. Then place the letter into the box. Put the box somewhere

safe.

6. When you are older you can look back at this box and it will remind you of

this time. The time that schools were closed, everyone stayed at home

and most importantly, we all stayed safe.

Treasure Hunt

can find an object to match each clue.

nobody lives in me. Tools and

gadgets are all you will see.

giving a drink to your pet.

get hot. I make yummy food

that you will like a lot.

through. I sometimes creak and
