To develop an understanding of the department’s priority area’s and expectations for programming

Purpose of Programming
Programming is a way to foster and build community within your floor, house, or wing.
Programs provide opportunities for you to educate and empower your residents to about certain past and/or present issues.
Programming is the one of the ways REO help develop students outside of the classroom and supports the academic mission of the university.
Programming is one of the ways students are challenged to develop holistically; as scholars, citizens and leaders.
Goals of Programming To develop COMMUNITY
To educate and empower residents
To provide community service opportunities
To make the residential experience a place where learning occurs
To foster and initiate leadership through resident and RA collaboration
To informally and formally impact residents
To expose residents to experiences and ideas they might not normally partake in
