✤ Present simple with future meaning
Will/ won't !
✤ Affirmative: I will see my friend tonight.!
✤ Affirmative: He will be here at 10. !
✤ Negative: We won't be able to finish this weekend, so we will have to continue the next one. !
✤ Negative: I won't do that, I don't agree with it.!
✤ Questions: Will he come to school tomorrow? !
✤ Questions: Will you visit your grandparents this weekend?
Going toSubject + verb to be (not) + going to + verb
Going to needs a verb afterwards: We are going to see our friends on Monday.!
He is going to buy some flowers for his mum.!
They are not going to come to the party, they say they are tired. !
I am not going to run that far, I' m not trained. !
!For the interrogative, we change the order of the subject and the verb:
Are you going to come with me?!
Is Lucia going to meet us at 9?
Present continuous with future meaning
✤ In this case, it will be useful to add a time marker to show we are talking about the future.!
You are going to the cinema with him tomorrow!
He is having a party tonight !
We are visiting our grandparents this weekend!
