Ahead of the Curve FV41 Arch FullView Arched Fireplace Innovations Until now, the most common way of creating the look of an arched hearth was to install an arched front or doors over a rectangular firebox. But no matter how stylish or well done, there’s no getting around the visible black area that appears in the gap between the firebox edge and the top of the curved front. With the new FullView Arch design, Mendota delivers a truly arched aesthetic in a shape and size that’s ideal for most any residential or commercial setting. As visible glass and viewing areas become increasingly important purchase considerations, the FullView Arch maximizes both without increasing the overall installation footprint. Compared to the regular FullView 41 model, the Arch model offers an increase of nearly 60 sq. in. of viewing area, with 833 sq. in. of glass as compared to 774 sq. in. on the non-arched model. That means a better view of the fire, from virtually any angle. For years, cleverly designed fronts and doors have created the illusion of an arched profile for the hearth, but truly arched fireplaces have been few and far between, typically developed as specialty fireplaces with more limited applications. Now, Mendota’s new FullView 41 Arch brings the elegance and sophistication of the arched design to a broader audience. Building on the hugely popular FullView fireplace platform, the FV41 Arch continues the FullView series’ clean-face point of view, with minimal exposed metal and no telltale louvers or raised platform. But instead of a rectangular firebox, the arched glass of the new FV41 Arch makes the already expansive viewing area feel even larger—ultimately offering a better view of the award-winning Mendota fire. The interior linings have been re-engineered to complement the arched design, so while the options remain the same Red Soldier Course Brick and Black Porcelain Reflective as what’s available for non-arched FullView models, the end result looks sleek and integrated. Mendota plans to launch additional arched interior lining options in the near future. Because this model is identically sized to FullView 41 models, all arched fronts currently available for that model will fit perfectly on the new FV41 Arch. Selections include Wide and Narrow Grace Arch, Traditions Arch, Willowbrook Arch and Bentley doors, each one available in up to five distinctive finishes that let homeowners create a focal point that’s perfectly suited to the surrounding room. Performance of the new FV41 Arch model is in keeping with Mendota’s rigorous standards. Heat output of 40,000 BTUH plus an impressive CSA P.4 efficiency rating of 77.18% is paired with the Mendota BurnGreen burner that gives homeowners choices for conserving fuel and helping the environment.

Innovations

Until now, the most common

way of creating the look of an

arched hearth was to install

an arched front or doors over

a rectangular firebox. But no

matter how stylish or well done,

there’s no getting around the

visible black area that appears

in the gap between the firebox

edge and the top of the curved

front. With the new FullView

Arch design, Mendota delivers

a truly arched aesthetic in a

shape and size that’s ideal

for most any residential or

commercial setting.

As visible glass and viewing

areas become increasingly

important purchase

considerations, the FullView

Arch maximizes both without

increasing the overall

installation footprint. Compared

to the regular FullView 41

model, the Arch model offers an

increase of nearly 60 sq. in. of

viewing area, with 833 sq. in.

of glass as compared to 774 sq.

in. on the non-arched model.

That means a better view of the

fire, from virtually any angle.

For years, cleverly designed fronts and doors have created the illusion of an arched profile for the hearth,

but truly arched fireplaces have been few and far between, typically developed as specialty fireplaces with

more limited applications. Now, Mendota’s new FullView 41 Arch brings the elegance and sophistication of

the arched design to a broader audience.

Building on the hugely popular FullView fireplace platform, the FV41 Arch continues the FullView series’

clean-face point of view, with minimal exposed metal and no telltale louvers or raised platform. But instead

of a rectangular firebox, the arched glass of the new FV41 Arch makes the already expansive viewing area

feel even larger—ultimately offering a better view of the award-winning Mendota fire.

The interior linings have been re-engineered to complement the arched design, so while the options remain

the same Red Soldier Course Brick and Black Porcelain Reflective as what’s available for non-arched

FullView models, the end result looks sleek and integrated. Mendota plans to launch additional arched

interior lining options in the near future.

Because this model is identically sized to FullView 41 models, all arched fronts currently available for that

model will fit perfectly on the new FV41 Arch. Selections include Wide and Narrow Grace Arch, Traditions

Arch, Willowbrook Arch and Bentley doors, each one available in up to five distinctive finishes that let

homeowners create a focal point that’s perfectly suited to the surrounding room.

Performance of the new FV41 Arch model is in keeping with Mendota’s rigorous standards. Heat output

of 40,000 BTUH plus an impressive CSA P.4 efficiency rating of 77.18% is paired with the Mendota

BurnGreen™ burner that gives homeowners choices for conserving fuel and helping the environment.

A New Take on an Old FavoriteFV34 FullView Fireplace

Innovations

Finding the right size fireplace

for a space, in terms of both

aesthetics as well as heat

output, is essential to ensure

long-term comfort for any home

or business. With the addition

of the FullView 34, Mendota

delivers today’s clean-face

styling in a size that’s been

proven over more than two

decades. Now, dealers have

a complete set of solutions at

their fingertips to fit various

sizes and shapes of rooms.

Typically, that also means

carrying additional inventory

to accommodate the many

fronts, doors and decorative

options available—but that’s

not the case with the FV34. It

was intentionally engineered to

the same size specifications as

previous Mendota models, so

existing fronts fit perfectly. That

puts consumers in complete

control of design elements

without adding unnecessary

SKUs to dealer stockrooms.

When looking to expand the wildly successful FullView fireplace series, Mendota drew inspiration from

the past. For more than 20 years, the DXV35 has been one of Mendota’s most popular fireplace sizes, and

while still a favorite, today’s homeowners are drawn to the clean-face look of the FullView design without

the additional metal and louvers. The market had spoken, and Mendota delivered—in the form of the new

FullView 34 fireplace.

Combining the size of the DXV35 with the clean-face look consumers love, the FV34 joins its larger siblings

the FV41, new FV41 Arch and FV46 to provide a full line of fireplace solutions to fit virtually any space.

The log set and burner configuration are identical to the DXV35/FV33i models, capturing the authentic

look and feel of a wood log fire in its most beautiful burning stages. The fire is further enhanced with

interior lining options including Red Soldier Course Brick and Black Porcelain Reflective, with additional

color choices in the works.

A big part of the Mendota fireplace experience is selecting fronts, doors and accessories to bring each

hearth to a perfect finish, and the FV34 is certainly no exception. All fronts and doors that are currently

available for FullView insert model FV44i will also fit the new FV34, including the versatile Grace Collection

offering arched and frame designs in two widths that can be used alone or in concert, along with optional

touches such as accent corners and accent bars.

Like others in the FullView series, the FV34 features Mendota BurnGreen™ technology to provide the

ultimate in style, convenience and green efficiency. Though sized for smaller areas, the FV34 still provides

a generous 32,000 BTUH, with CSA P.4 efficiency ratings clocking in at an impressive 77.4%.

Expanding HorizonsML39 MOD FullView Modern Linear Fireplace

Innovations

Clearly, aesthetics were a key

driver in the development of the

new FullView Modern Linear model,

but Mendota also called upon the

company’s 100+ years of expertise

in gas appliances to ensure the

ML39 MOD delivers the same high-

level performance, efficiency and

safety that homeowners expect

from the brand.

While many panoramic or modern

fireplaces fall into the “decorative”

category, Mendota FullView

Modern Linear models are ANSI/

AGA certified high efficiency wall

furnaces. Using the smart, efficient

BurnGreen™ platform, the ML39

MOD offers heat output of 34,250

BTUH, but still ranks among the

industry’s most efficient with a

77.3% rating based on the CSA P.4

test method.

Safety remains a top priority, and

like all Mendota fireplaces and

inserts, the ML39 MOD is in

compliance with all government

safety screen regulations. But

thanks to innovations like the new

micro safety screen that virtually

disappears once installed over the

fireplace, homeowners don’t have

to choose between being safe and

having a beautiful hearth.

The second in the FullView Modern Linear series, Mendota’s new ML39 MOD delivers every inch

of the contemporary styling and exciting options of its predecessor—in a slightly smaller footprint

designed to fit more rooms than ever.

Mendota’s first foray into the panoramic category, the ML47 MOD, launched in the fall of 2014 to

overwhelming response. For the new model, Mendota maintained the popular panoramic proportions,

but made the firebox slightly narrower to create a size that’s ideal for moderately sized living rooms,

dining rooms or master suites.

What didn’t get smaller are the number of fronts, finishes and other decorative options that allow

homeowners to completely customize the look of their hearth. Three fronts, Grace, Traditions

and Willowbrook, are available in five sophisticated finishes including Black, Antique Copper,

Brushed Chrome, Swedish Nickel and Vintage Iron. The Grace front can also be paired with either

the Traditions or Willowbrook fronts in complementary or contrasting finishes for a bolder hearth

presence. Accent corners for the Grace and Traditions fronts in the same five finishes, accent bars in

Black plus magnetic dome rivets in four finishes complete the look.

The options continue to the firebox interior. Fire base offerings range from spa-inspired choices

like Driftwood, Forest Oak and Natural River Rock to selections such as Black or Liquid Clear Glass

Diamonds that bring a little more “bling” to the fire. Even the panoramic interior lining can be

customized, from perennial favorites such as Black and Copper Porcelain Reflective to newer metallic

finishes including Midnight, Mocha and Silver.
