Building chamber 1
a) Wiring machine enters the clean room
c) Placing the spacers…
b) Gluing the top bars…
d) The chamber is ready to be closed
We built ch1 to go through the full production chain.
The WM placed in the clean room on the 28th of June
The chamber was closed on July 10 and brought to LNF the 13th.
Ch1 was built with the very first panels assembled. Panel L1 in particular was one the first glued with the automatic gluing machine
Gap A was severely leaking (most probably due to bad gluing of the HVbar see above) and needed to be sealed.
Several wires needed to be replaced ( repair procedure tested)

Fernando checks with the spacers the clamping strength
The chamber is closed

Results on chamber 1Test made @ LNFMany thanks to M. Anelli !
HV: 2.6 kV.Expected current: 100 nA
Gap A was leaking from one corner (probably hvbar not well glued)
Gap B looks reasonable
Gap C is not uniform and the gain is too low
Gap D looks more uniform but in fact there is current limitation set by Mario !!!!

Building chamber 2
Two panels (701,1255) already wired, soldered and tested
Two panels (706,1027) glued and measured
Plan to close ch2 by the end of this week

Road towards the PRR
• At the moment the main missing item is (still !!!!) the laser soldering (even though it is finally converging)
• Ch 2 will be closed this week
• We will try to close another 3 chambers by the end of august (test all or some at LNF ?)
• Clearly, we want to understand well all the problems that are arising while building our first chambers
