G series 10G routing switches are oriented to IP MAN, campus network, E-business and large enterprise network, applied in backbone, convergence and core layer thereof. Modular design and distributed processing mechanism supports large capacity of port access and wire-rate switching, supports MPLS and IPv6 as well.
59/52 series all-giga-port routing switches are oriented to core layer of campus network and convergence layer of IP MAN, providing 10G uplink interface and all 1000M access ability. 52 series is the L2 version, for which weaken the L3 functions than that of 59 series. Powerful ACL and QoS function and Stacking supported. Support multicast routing protocols, fully controllable multicast protocols;59 supports IPv6.
39/32 series L3 switches oriented to convergence layer of large enterprise network, high-class subdistricts, hotels as well as campus. Providing high-intensive access ports, support L2 and L3 wire-rate forwarding; support hardware ACL and QoS function. 32 is the L2 simplified version of 39. L3 function is weakened.
51/50 series all-giga-port L2 switches oriented to all 1000M service network, as convergence or access device,focus on service management and network security assurance. Have powerful security and QoS capacity. 51 series supports ACL.
29/28/26 series L2 switch oriented to user-end access. Cater for various access requirements, easy to deploy, easy to manage. 29 series supports ACL.

ZXR10 G series, a new generation of large capacity and high performance routing switch developed by ZTE Corporation.
ZXR10 G series, includes ZXR10 T240G/T160G/T64G/T40G four products, all provide L2/L3/L4 wire-rate forwarding capability.
ZXR10 G series, designed based upon state-of-art modularized concept and adopt distributed processing mechanism based on multi-processor as well as the Crossbar space-division switching architecture, key modules adopt 1:1 redundancy backup.
Mainly oriented to IP MAN, campus network, E-business network and large scale enterprise network, as backbone, convergence and core layer devices.

Remarks:original T40G main control board cannot backup, to resolve this problem, ZTE developed T40G-EI, which has four slots, the upper two are line-card, the 3rd one is main control slot, divided into left and right two parts, able to insert two main control boards to realize redundancy.

Adopt ASIC hardware forwarding technology and large capacity CROSSBAR switching chip, the main forwarding function is done by hardware, to guarantee the wire-rate forwarding capacity. L2 switching, MPLS switching, IPV4 routing, IPV6 routing and l2-L7 traffic filtering function can be done on ASIC.

FE line card is the early one on G series switches, supported by V2.8.01 version.
FE line card classified into several types according to interface type: RS-XG-44FE4GE-RJ45(electric interface card), RS-XG-44FE4GE-SFP(optical interface card),the first 44 interfaces are FE interfaces and the last 4 ones are GE interfaces.
FE line card can be transformed to enhanced board by adding a NP sub-card:RS-XG-M-44FE4GE-RJ45 and RS-XG-M-44FE4GE-SFP.
Electric interface of FE line card is auto-adaptive.

Early line-card of 12-port GE, supported by V2.8.01 version. 12-port GE line-card is classified into several types in accordance with interface
type: RS-XG-12GE-RJ454SFP (electric interface card), RS-XG-12GE-SFP4RJ45 (optical interface card). Last 4 interfaces on electric board and first 4 interfaces on optical interface card are optical and electrical multiplexing interface.
12-port GE line-card can be transformed into enhanced type by adding NP board: RS-XG-M-12GE-RJ454SFP and RS-XG-M-12GE-SFP4RJ45.

The above figures are earliest two types of 10G line-card: RS-XG-1XGE-XEN and RS-XG-2GE-XEN. These two cards can be transformed into enhanced cards by adding NP sub-card: RS-XG-M-1XGE-XEN and RS-XG-M-2GE-XEN. Adopt XENPAK optical module that supports hot-swap, support multiple transmission distance.

There are only two types of POS boards: 8GE4P3,20GE4P3,appearance of them are the same as 12-port GE optical interface card and 24-port GE optical interface card, different in names only. 9-12 port on 8GE4P3, 20GE4P3 is POS, the other ports are GE port.
Does not support NP sub-card, POS port does not support advanced functions that needs a NP board, GE port here has the same function as GE ports on other boards.

NP sub-card:now we have two types of Boards, common and enhanced ones. Common boards can be transformed to enhanced ones by adding NP sub-cards.
Enhanced Line-cards support:MPLS VPN , VPLS, VPWS, URPF, VLAN one-to-multiple translation, VLAN-based PVLAN, 64K MAC, policy routing, optimum route matching, IP-based rate-limit, QinQ termination. In addition, the SVLAN configuration with or without NP sub-cards are different.
For one device, configured with one NP sub-card is able to support all listed functions above.
Common line-card/board upgraded to enhanced line-card, notice that line card memory must be 256M and some line cards cannot be upgraded by adding a NP sub-card.

G Series devices adopts same versions;
The version components are platform software + host software;
Platform software version: similar to operating system installed on PC, able to realize routing protocols, OAM functions, hardware interfaces etc. Usually provided with corresponding host software;
Host software version:similar to application software installed on PC, realize upper layer service operations, and corresponding version number is the one usually referred to. Software realizes some specific functions aimed to G series switch directly, such as QinQ function;
Version number instruction: V2.6.02D.12.P05, refer to the sample on the next page.
D version, comparing to A/B versions,support IP qinq termination, tacacs+,web NM,ZESR,VLAN one-to-multiple translation and IP rate-limit etc. Realize more comprehensive protocol protection function. The earliest version is Version A, but barely seen in the practical networks. Version B is comparatively more, if needs upgrade, should be all changed to Version D;
Later, there will be V2.8.01B, which supports IPV6 and different levels of user priority etc.
