Sagemcom G3-PLC solution offers Dynamic Topology
G3-PLC is Mesh routing solution with automatic self repairing & dynamic adaptation to network condition changes
Deployment with Star Topology
• This site represents one of the challenging network topology for PLC, known as Star Network.
• In Star Topology where a DCU must be able to communicate point to point to the first meter located at the farthest point of the network where there is no possibility of using a repeater.
• Each cluster of meters are physically separated from the neighbored cluster.
Example of meterinstallation
Malaysia: Communication Performance and Data Collection Time
• Average data reading per meter with security is about couple of seconds.
• Load profile data size is about 25 time larger than Billing data but the delay only increased by factor of two.
G3-PLC provides high data rate and that the network delay is mainly due to processing delay and not the data rate.
80% of the nodes located at one or two hops from the DCU were able to communicate in D8PSK or DQPSK with average data rate of 25 Kbps in MAC layer.
