STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS Board of Governors Form F, Ri 286 of the Federal Reserve System For immediate release November 10, 1944 BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 334 leading centers for the month of October aggregated 7$,861 million dollars, During the past three months total debits for the same centers amounted to 213,375 million dollars or 5 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago* At banks i n New York City there was an increase of 12 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the 333 other centers there was an increase of 2 per cent.
