ORANGES MAY BE VERY
SCARCE THIS SEASON
THREE GROVES THAT ARE RE-
PORTED HEAVY WITH FRUIT
Drouth Has Had a Good Deal to Do
With the Scarcity Throughout-
This Section of State
The orange groves of Alachua coun-
ty will fall far short of their fruityield the coming fall in all places sotar heard from and particularly soin the Mlcanopy and Tacoma sectionwhich was at one time the home ofthe golden fruit-
It Is said that only about threegroves have any fruit to speak ofand they are those of Dr H L
A G Lamb and Capt H WFontane and the fruit on these grovesIs very fancy so
course the other groves are notbarren but the smallest crop thatbeen on the trees In years Is the pretfent one and this is accounted for In
a measure by the drougth whichthe bloom to shed and later tin
young fruitThere will be a number of carloads
from the three groves above mention-ed and this alone will pn tnt n busytime when they start gathering butnothing like what erpfriencedlast season
